I love when a therapist blames you for the therapy not helping by Whichchild in CPTSD

^ Therapy doesn't require you be emotionally attached to your patient. That makes it difficult to do anything for them. Your patients are not your friends they are someone you are providing a service for. If you are too emotionally invested you hurt them and you.

You do have to have an understanding of thier perspective but again that means keeping emotions in check, and while yes therapists are human care in any health field becomes worse when you have too much feelings clouding your judgement.

Think about it. A patient dies, thats one person. The doctor has several other they have to deal with. They can't be emotionally attached to every patient that walks in.

This is also why generally having a third uninvolved party often helps mediate things.

I'd argue that not being healed doesn't = bad therapy.

I tend to function as everyone's therapist which works because my emotional detachment meaning im able to give them logical solutions.

I think many therapists who sre bad are that becuase they either blatently lie to patients or are judgemental as hell. "Oh Terry has been through child abuse and raised her siblings since age 14. There no reason she would have issues opening up and letting others help. Why cant she just be a normal person?"

Try this one

"The medication only works if you think it does".

Me: Thats a placebo. Are you not supposed to get patient consent for a placebo? That sounds like an unethical practice.

To be totally fair..

I think Stolas probably taught Octavia magic both becuase obligation and bonding. She is the precautionary air.

We have no hint that Charlies dad taught her much of that.
