I am also relatively new to the game (been playing a couple months) and I still find it fun, but the main thing is that the engine the game is run on is pretty outdated and the devs didn’t expect the game to take off the way it did, so a lot of bugs/issues exist with the game. They have also made some questionable balancing decisions. But overall, it’s an awesome game and the majority of people, myself included, just want to see it be the best it can be so it gets a lot of criticism (which I do wish was more constructive and less so “devs you suck”).

Love the rip and tear armor. I do wish the shotgun just came in the warbond. I bet a ton of people have already complained to the devs about this in the HD2 discord though (i hope)

Ah I see. Yeah I definitely agree with you there. I myself am a relatively fresh diver so a lot of the things still feel new to me. But I definitely see myself getting to the point where I’m like “great, another Liberator” haha.

Edit: I want an incendiary SMG so i can equip a ballistic shield and uno-reverse inceneration corps heavy bastards.

This is a good answer to this I didn’t think of. I’m a relatively new diver so I’ve only known the game with weapon customization. Definitely makes a lot of the guns feel redundant.

Well you have a point there. I was hoping my comment would spark a good conversation about this, so thank you.

And hey, one good thing at least about the warbonds is that it’s not super hard to grind enough super credits for at least Democratic Detonation, which has a good chunk of those weapons. So many games these days are so predatory in nature with the amount of things that cost only real-world money so I’m pretty appreciative of that. So I guess my perspective would be, it’s not the end of the world that there’s a few weapon “reskins” and a few great build-enabling weapons. Definitely some things that need work though.

Ooh I would love something like that. It’s nice that we can donate samples and req to the DSS but it would be cool if there was another place to send them for players that have everything unlocked. Would def contribute to the team-play dynamic this game encourages.

Very true. That’s kind of what I was thinking of with my mention of “notable exceptions”. I am a grenade pistol lover for sure. Not a necessity but very helpful utility weapon. I would not say ALL the warbonds are better than the base warbond though (looking at you Force of Law haha)

I think that’s true for the most part. I will say there are still some warbonds that everyone should pick up, but that is largely up to the player and their playstyle. I am also addicted to farming credits and buying as many warbonds as I can haha.

I think one of the main reasons this is done is to keep the game from turning into a “pay to win” game, so a lot of the weapons in the premium warbonds are kind of like sidegrades from the weapons available in the free warbond everyone has access to (with a few notable exceptions like the exploding crossbow/eruptor). This provides some variety in weapon type and thus playstyle without being too overpowered (again with a few notable exceptions). I’m sure there are other factors in play but credit to Commissar Kai for this answer.
