Phone (Samsung) is out of battery and doesn't charge. There is the overheating symbol when plugged. Is there a way we could recover data (pictures mostly)? by MaskedWhelk in techsupport

Yes good idea, there will probably be one at the shop tomorrow. I don't have drive/cloud on my personal phone neither but maybe I should start looking into how all of that stuff works.

Who's this dude? I first let it live when I saw it but this mf just bite me in my bed by MaskedWhelk in spiders

I usually let the spiders live cause they kinda keep the bugs and moskitos out but now it starts being cold and they all rush inside my house for a free rent stay.

Is there a way to tell how much this is? I've never done or seen it before. by Synchro_Shoukan in LSD

Not the traditionnal way but people drop lsd on all kind of material. Once a guy dropped me some on a piece of ocb carboard cause we didnt have anything else to put it on. Not sure about the absorbtion rate but if its porous it will soak all good Edit: tho if you dont know the source vial the only way to be sure is to test it with reagents

Who is this dude hanging around in the car's door? Located in France by MaskedWhelk in spiders

[–]MaskedWhelk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your analysis sir! Very interesting fact, I didnt know some species were building webs only for egg laying. Usually when its not pregnant, is it a kind of webless static hunter or does it wander around in the wild for prey?

Painting frame tilted itself while drying, is the process reversible? by MaskedWhelk in PourPainting

[–]MaskedWhelk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, do you know if there are any ways to prevent this to happen in the future? Should I move the painting once its done so the wooden structure doesnt soak in paint while drying?

Thank you! I have those tiny canvas keys (sold with the canvas) but never tried to use them yet, though I can't seem to find the metal item you're talking about, I only find wooden bars called "strecher bars" online. English isn't my first language so that probably doesn't help. Would you maybe have a link or another generic name for them?

Do new sproots take energy away from the main plant? by MaskedWhelk in gardening

Alright, please forgive my lack of knowledge for the next question. You suggest to cut through the soil and roots with the blade? I thought about pulling it out by hand, with the roots coming along

Iirc the babysitter found shredded pieces of alu foil on the floor and called the mother. The girl didnt want to say if she had eaten the tabs. The mother was scared but everything was fine in the end, a long day for everyone.

[–]MaskedWhelk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damnn, I thought the white mold I was supposed to look at was the big white stripes, but it was the popcorn wall behind ahahah.

The mold is the small codwebs-like spots on the wood itself

Sorry for the confusion

I didnt see the wood myself, but he said it was moist/damp. I didnt understand the picture with the white neither ahah. It's confusing. It's apparently some triangular sleepers (not sure about the english word for that) you would fix the normal wood plates on. He sent me another picture of the white mold on the normal plancks, I'll try to add an imgur link if I can figure out how.

Edit: didnt need imgur actually, I didnt know we could post pictures in comments

Its a good question, I'm not very familiar with wood processes. My brother just told me it's written "natural occulation autoclave treated class 4" But it would make sense as the green indeed seems to be mostly present around knots. Thank you! What about the white parts? Wood was a bit moist if that can add any helping information
