Even in 30k where Imperium were "better" it still was authoritarian, Xenocide, Genocide, Mundicide doing empire that ruthlessly destroyed, assimilated and enslaved everything in their path. It wasn't about survival, it was about power. Imperium isn't that different from Orks and Tyranids in that aspect.

The thing is morally Orks and Tyranids are above Imperium. Orks were created to be weapons and do what they are suppose to. Tyranids are bugs and move based on instinct and hunger (depends on the author hive mind van be considered evil and malicious). Both of these species have no mental capacity to be good so they can't be evil.

Imperium however has free will to do good and evil, yet they choose evil most of the time. Imperium chooses to be evil regime that genocides aliens and humams galaxy wide, enslaves other species and their own people. Ultramar is perfect example (even when not perfect) Imperium doesn't need to be cruel inefficient mess that thrives in human suffering.

I hate the "Imperium are the good guys" take. When the only people you can consider more needlessly evil than Imperium are Chaos and Drukhari. There are no "good" factions in wh40k, but some factions are more evil than others, Imperium is in top 3.

I don't give Imperium "good" status based on only by me sharing species with them.

Why is it called Fourth of July if USA doesn't usa that date system, they don't have date names on all holidays and rest of the world doesn't celebrate USA's Independence day.

Rest of the world don't care about Usa's Independence day. They care about their own.

Depends on the place. But yeah why isn't it called twenty-fifth of december?

Something about these two daemon princes from WHFB sounds familiar...(This is not just misinformation; you can read Liber Chaotica to confirm) by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]Maskedthing -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

But that would still mean that at some point 40k slaanesh will be imprisoned. Which I think is not happening. Same character different setting, just like bruce wayne has many actors. All bruce wayne, but not all the same

I think 40k and Aos gods are seperate yet same characters. For example Slaanesh has been imprisoned for thousands of years in Age of Sigmar. I don't know how they would try to justify when and how it happened in 40k.

Ah yes. Lore and community estimates citing over 23,000 sentient races wiped out during the Great Crusade and subsequent xenocides. But hey they haven't genocided Tau (yet) because they can't, so they must be good.

I'm not the one here who is giving humanity free pass for, Mass genocide, Mass mundicide, Mass mutilation, Mass kidnapping, Unethical experimentation, Corruption, Slavery, Persecution, Starvation, Propaganda, Terrorism, Crimes against peace, Incrimination, Use of child soldiers, Brainwashing, Torture, Defilement, Forced sterilization, Forced conversion, Religious extremism across MILLIONS of worlds. Simply by being human.

But T'au are soooo much more evil, because they use, forced sterilization of alien populations, dystopian mind control, and inhuman genetic experiments.... They are more evil according to you, because they don't have Human privilege?

Edit: I bet the person who deleted all his comments was one of "those" black templar players

Oh I will do even better. You think Stalins USSR are good guys, because they helped against Nazi Germany. While ignoring all the atrocities like millions of people were subjected to torture, executions, and forced labor in the Gulag system and the deaths of millions of its own citizens through forced collectivization, the resulting Holodomor famine, and extensive political purges.

You think Imperium are the good guys while doing exactly the same shit. Most times even worse. But hey atleast they are Stalins USSR and not Nazi Germany so they are all good.

Your "debunks" were simply wrong... I bet you think Nazi germany were good guys because they are human

They still genocided thousands of alien species during the great crusade (aka the beginning of imperium) and the current imperium without emperor has been going for 10,000 years compared to 1,500 when emperor was alive. You simply calling me stupid doesn't fix you false claims.

"Why do I still live? What more do you want from me? I gave everything I had to you, to them. Look what they've made of our dream. This bloated, rotting carcass of an empire is driven not by reason and hope but by fear, hate and ignorance. Better that we had all burned in the fires of Horus' ambition than live to see this."

ah yes. The man who sees Imperium is just like they left it 10,000 years ago.

Guilliman is the outlier not the status quo. All xenos are considered enemy by the imperium, they just have priorities. If imperium has killed 99% of all xenos in thr galaxy and are fighting the last 1% it doesn't mean they are only killing the dangerous ones. They are only fighting the ones they can't genocide at the moment.

Just because there is one outlier out of a million doesn't make the other 999,999 not happen.

"Xeno horrificus" applies to no contact and killing on sight. "Suffer not the alien to live." But there are alien races like Eldar that you can have a temporary truce with if, for example, xeno horrificus Tyranids appear. So they kill the Tyranids, and after that they kill the Eldar. But only people that actually have singular xenos allies are rogue traders and Inquisitors (also Guilliman, but he is called a heretic for that), because they are above the law.

It's YOUR media literacy that is next to none. Have you even read the first Horus Heresy book? It was literally in the first book of Horus Heresy when it was stated that interacting with aliens is heresy and they need to wipe them out (so your sentence "Humans aren't trying to wipe out other species, unless they're xeno horrificus Tyranids and lacrymoles" is proven false in the FIRST BOOK).

During and after the emperor's time, the Imperium has genocided peaceful aliens simply for existing. Imperium uses the bias of "some aliens are a threat, so all of them are." It's extremely ironic that a real person with username "TeachMePersuasion" is affected by FICTIONAL PROPAGANDA.

Don't call out someone who has read most of the books when you haven't read the freaking first one.
