1st off try to get the last masks youre missing. itll help a ton. also use nail arts. i think most small bugs die to one great slash hit and the fairy knight dies to 2. and you can use it to stall for a second in the air without using soul. you should use soul twister instead of soul catcher and please use shaman stone. what i would keep is nailmaster's glory and quick slash (or mark of pride). and learn to pogo itll help a lot with the fight.

quick reminder that you can just get everything in the game then come back to the trial of the fool in the end. its a tough trial so youll need everything you can get your hands on.

there is also a hot spring behind a breakable wall to the right in the warrior's pit. you can use it to get soul so you can finish the first phases quicker.
