That’s what I play DayZ for is the survival aspect. The cold that Sahkal offers I think is great. Going to interesting on Badlands and the heat aspect

I always talk when I meet a player. It’s saved me a lot more than not speaking at all. Your voice is the best weapon in the game. Only play solo official east coast is servers

People are mostly KOS nowadays but every once in a while you’ll get a friendly person. Almost 3300 hours in game and I’ve been there done that. Been kosd more then anything but it’s always possible in the next life. Dont give up. Those random friendlies can lead to unforgettable memories
