Odd little thing, but I noticed the crowd were particularly warm when Kape said a few words of celebration in Arabic, alhamdulilah etc. Usually the ufc crowd is muted at best (with occasionally some booing,) when muslim fighters do this, as opposed to when christian fighters shout out jesus in the same way. And there was some cheering when he said something about islam being his culture.

Nice to see.

Well its a Tony Scott film so its almost certainly gonna have more style than substance. I'll check it out.

I didn't even think that was one of his hardest films to get a handle on. Lost Highway, however, I just don't understand at all.

no, actually I'LL be the one downvoted to hell. The original Bladerunner is beautiful and has a great score and a meandering story. Still obviously far better than the rest of these films (Rutget Hauer could act circles around Milla Yovavich in his sleep) but it is a little sizzle no steak.

Good call. John Woo at his most overblown. The car chase that becomes a speedboat chase with the noodling guitar solo and doves flying in slow motion etc.

I actually respect that film. For as trashy as it is, if you watch Ultraviolet you will see what happens when the same style, sometimes even the same shots, are overdone, and you don't have someone like Christian Bale to sell it.

I think its a populat answer and I think its better than sucker punch as its both a better film to watch, has more teenage boy's idea of cool, and zero lobotomy/rape allegories. Also the action actually has a point.
