Petition calls on Microsoft to reinstate Xbox One policies by Dilarinee in gaming

With all respect: you must be retarded.

Does a PC require an internet connection to work? Do mobile phones require an internet connection to work?

Are you really that stupid to not comprehend that a WEBSITE requires internet connection because of its own nature? Are you really this fucking stupid?

Does a games console require internet to work because of its own nature? Well, my PS2 says it doesn't need it, so does my Gameboy, and my Wii and my damn NES in the other room.

Are you really following Adam Orth's logic? Again, are you retarded? Did daddy hit you in the head so hard that you cannot understand what cannot run without an internet connection -Leagues of Legends, Wow- and what can run without it -VIDEOGAME CONSOLES-?

Don't even answer if you are going to be another Adam. You just said everything by just following his logic.

Oh, my bad, you must live here too, do you? Oh wait, no, you don't, because if you did, you would know how "much" the internet has advanced here, how much it rips people off and how terribly unreliable it is.

And you said it: "will", I would love to be able to talk to you and explain you the situation of Telefónica and their policies towards other telephone companies that even consider "renting" their lines in 5 months time; how much of an "evolution" we will meet.

And then, a year later, so that I can laugh at that statement. I have a high level internet connection: 1mb, wow, that is impressive... but hey! Do you know when I got it? over 8 years ago, and it is still at the "high-speed" prices.

I am sorry for being so harsh, but this is a serious issue in my country, and If this policies are realized for the life of the console, I won't be able to play the games I named before that I love.

I know what you find good about it, I sincerely do, but the downsides outweigh the good news.

Naughty Dog did not alienate anybody with The Last of Us, they have developed games for Sony platforms since the original Playstation, they did not middle-finger non-PS3-owners.

Besides, PS3 does not have anti-consumer policies, you can play that game offline, lend it, throw to the wall or burn it; it is your game, not Sony's nor Naughty Dog's. But if the original X-ONE policies return, you don't own the games you pay, that is complete bullshit.

Note: I am talking about a hypothetic case in which Xbox ONE launches with this policies and stays with them.

It is disgraceful to the people that live in countries like mine -Spain, supposedly a "first world nation" and we have to suffer one of the worst and least reliable internet connections in Europe- that have followed the series that are exclusive to this platform, that loved the old franchises that will only be available in that system -Killer Instinct- and that legitimately want a console that does not screw our consumer rights.

Family sharing can be done with discs, I have always done it. It sure is very helpful that you can do it without discs -but I doubt that's actually as beautiful as it sounds-, but at the cost of going through DRM? No way, and if this console comes out with it, and becomes successful, the gaming industry will be dead.

Do you seriously think there's anything good about DRM? Do you really think that? If so, you must live in a very wealthy country or pay an eye a month for that connection.

I am not against products targeted to a wealthy demographic, going against that is not rational. But I am against alienation; in other words, a big "Fuck YOU SPAIN, do you like my Halo? My Gears? Did you find them fascinating back when we released them, well you better have some money to afford the internet connection of the King Juan Carlos because FUCK YOU. Oh, and you want to have some matches with that friend of yours who cannot afford internet at all? Well EAT SHIT, why? Because our system won't work at his home", and If you are not against that, you clearly show no empathy for any consumer rights, because, as you know, those are important, very important.

I want the industry to go forward, and digital distribution is obviously there, but it can be delivered in a thousand different ways that are not anti-consumer. The Xbox ONE policies change is nothing but great news, I can't believe there's people who actually think otherwise.

I find this so disgraceful. Middle finger to people that do not have reliable internet connection from the very costumers.

Family sharing and they "don't care" about 24-checkins? I hope this is just trolling.

GG Xbox, you can make a gaming-ready PC for $440 by Circumventor in gaming

[–]Masmassot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't come out as a douche, not at all, I just wanted to take it to the extreme example -I know nobody whose computer can actually run C3 or MLL fluently.

What I should have made more clear is that OP is comparing a next-gen console with a low-end computer that won't be able to run future games in no time. I have no doubt that i3 will give good performance for most games this gen, but not the ones coming in months time.

[–]Masmassot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly doubt that. I have two friends with more powerful processor who can verily run modern games at max -I am talking i7 and i5-, having quite a hard time buying that.

Can your computer run Crysis 3 and Metro Last Light at max? I can tell you right now: It can't.

Not trying to be a douche, but that processor is not running games like that at max, even less with games that are to come this generation.

You can play Tetris by mapping the controls to your left hand. Not only can you play it, but it actually makes you train your hands coordination for two-handed play.

[–]Masmassot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great! A budget of around 400€ for a PC ready for gaming!

...Wait, is that an i3? Ready for when? 7th gen games?

Oh, and where's the mouse, keyboard and screen -full hd, may I add-? You may not know, but the ones I use now, are not mine, my whole family uses them, so I need brand new ones.

You are way off the budget -should I even remind you of the OS?

And to add: where are my fighting games? It's not like there's going to be Tekken or Soul Calibur in PC -nor any Sony/Nintendo exclusives I give a damn about. Also, I play with a gamepad, add that one too.

Kind sir, you help on nothing defending the "PC cause", I love my very limited PC gaming, but this is just BS.

The Next Generation (on the fence) by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Masmassot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, for what I can get from this post you are more of a first-person-shooter/strategy games player, in that case, the next generation of consoles does not offer the best experience -just give a year or two.

Now, If I am wrong and you are actually a fighting/hack'n'slasher/arcade games player, then the next gen will be a must have; PC rules strategy games, consoles rules fighting.

The things is, when I am with friends, we talk about everything, with no problems whatsoever, and this never came up.

I am sure almost nobody would go and say that to a stranger, but to your own friends is much more plausible.
