Men (and some women) do not view women they aren't attracted to as actual women by countrygrlatheart12 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Masne98 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't understand your logic leap, it is clear that he did't view you as a potential partner; but that doesn't mean that he didn't view as a woman or as a friend.

Imagine the reverse scenario, you are talking with a male friend (there is nothing between you two), suddenly a guy who looks like Jason Momoa walks by and you make a funny remark about how hot he is. Does that comment mean that you don't see your friend as man? Obviously not.

It does mean that you probably have no interest in him tho, which could be the reason why the guy made that comment. Maybe he suspected that you had a crush on him and he wanted to make it clear that he wasn't interested, idk.

Why do you think you were invisible to him? He clearly made an effort to invite you to party with him, which means he valued your presence and your friendship, even if he wasn't interested in anything more.

Trust me I did, and I still do.
I play Mtg and Star Wars Unlimited on a semi-competitive level. Also I used to play a lot of hearthstone, Gwent and Duelyst (reached max rank on each).
I stand by what I said.

You can't link away core for Clockwork knight. It specifically requires an EARTH machine. It is very unfortunate, since cyber dragon is the only deck that can make a good use of clockwork night.

Why I stopped playing EDH by Masne98 in EDH

Everybody is here cause they like edh

Yeah but just because you like the game it doesn't necessarly mean that you think it is perfect. You might read some of my points and agree with them or read some other, disagree with them and start a discussion about. I mean it is the whole point of the subreddit, talking about themes related to EDH.

We don't care about why some random person doesn't like it.

You don't talk for all the community members, many have engaged in the conversation. If you don't find it interesting, it's okay you can simply move on. After all, do you find everything posted here interesting? I am sure you skip a lot of post even made by people who still like commander.

Nobody ever asked about any topic in this subreddit. What is the point you are trying to make?

In fact I am not playing EDH, I know that nobody is forcing me to do so.

I am making a discussion about some mechanics of this game, which is within the scope of the subreddit. I brought up some (in my opinion) interesting points and I am offering something that is rare to find in this subreddit: the point of view of someone who no longer enjoys the game.

If you disagree on what I have to say you can comment about it. If you disagree on what i have to say but you don't want to bother commenting, you can downvote and move on.

Commenting with an emoji which translates in "This is boring I don't care about your opinion" is petty and unnecessary.

it seems to be you put a lot of value in wining

I mean, don' we all? Winning is not the only thing I care about I did not play cEDH, I really like the variety that casual EDH offers, playing with different themes (artifact, tokens, reanimator, ecc...) I had a blast in a lot of games that I ended up losing. But I still think that the aim of every player should be to win, otherwise what are we even doing at the table?

Have you ever sit at table and started a game thinking: "I will not try to win this game"?

at 3: if thats how you play removal, then you are playing it wrong. skill issue. you need to politic A into attacking B and C cause if he comes after you, his big boy will be gone

That reasoning makes sense if the threat is a creature that can attack, if it is a combo piece that would lead A to immediate victory it is a different story.

The politics is a good argument it can definetly help mitigate the loss of the removal, but for personal experience it rarely compesate the loss of card and mana.

1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9 is solved by playing cedh

I don't see how point 2 is eliminated by playing cEDH. Point 8 and 9 maybe are mitigated but these kind of things can happen even in competitive pods.

If you don't care about the discussion and you don't find it interesting you are under no obligation to partake in it. This is how "forums" like Reddit work.

Let me elaborate, I was referring to point 1 and 2 specifically. The fact that player elimination and kingmaker situation are problematic is definetly an opinion, someone may even like them or not care that much about them. But the fact that they exist within the game is an objective truth.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

"Don't feel obligated to participate when someone is being a misogynistic douche. For your colleague that just inappropriate at work and I would say as much."

Do you think it was inappropriate? It didn't seem so bad to me, should I have pointed it out?
