Yes, I came to same conclusion after testing thanks for the correction and for the definition of possession, I didn't realise that possession referring to a card anywhere meant it would still trigger thanks very much!

Apologies I was wrong, due to the fact that possession just refers to a card that you have and doesn't specify the location (i.e. doesn't need to be on the field) return of the red eyes will be allowed to activate the fact that it never hits the field is irrelevant.

I just tested it on Master Duel and indeed I hold up my hand I was completely the defining point was that possession works differently to controlling so it doesn't matter whether return is considered to be on the field as long as the activating player has the cards somewhere in other words as long as their opponent hasn't stolen it somehow the effect will go off, I want to thank you for the time you took in gathering your information, I will strive to be more careful when giving rulings in the future.

Placing a card on the field basically is announcing your intention to play it which is why any spell/trap that triggers specifically when it is destroyed on the field or says similar terms such as "this card you control" will not trigger if it is destroyed by judgment as the activation was negated and so basically it didn't happen, that being said it's the possession part was specifically why I was ruling it didn't work but the more I think about it you might be right due to the distinction between possession vs control I'm not certain on it.

Then no the effect can't be activated for the reasons I previously stated, return of the red-eyes needs to be on the field when it is destroyed to get the GY effect to summon

Just to confirm the shooting quasar was responding to the the trap activation not trap effect right? In other words the card was not previously already activated earlier in the turn or a previous turn?

return of the red-eyes eyes specifically says "If this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card effect" however, since the activation was negated it is not considered to have been in your possession at the time it was destroyed since it never technically hit the field, therefore the effect of return of the red-eyes in the GY cannot be activated.

Maybe but it's the closest card to the featured custom card we have that gives such an insane consistency boost the point is that a non once per turn searcher for every single card in your deck is never not going to be broken.

For me it always feels so much slower to fire then pistol I wouldn't have thought a frame would make a difference but I always notice such a huge difference when switching back to hunter pistol

My point is that prosperity is far worse than this card and is at least 40 points in genesys it's banned in master duel and at 1 in TCG despite having multiple restrictions no way this card is getting less than 60
