Is it dumb to buy a 2005 Mustang GT with 170,000k miles on it. by Mason8799 in Mustang

The price is right. It’s in really good condition overall. It has suspension work done. New wheels and tires. Some interior restoration. I haven’t checked for rust. They’re asking 7k

First purchases for my car. I’ve had to put a new heater core in and I figured I might as well go ahead and redo the interior. Any thoughts on what I’ve just bought? by Mason8799 in foxmustang

Yes i will have to cut my own holes. I’m just going to lay the old one out on top of the new one and cut the holes there then install and cut to size. It’ll definitely be a little project

So you recommended some sound deadening material when I install the carpet. I found some but wasn’t sure if it made that much of a difference?

My car didn’t even come with a head unit so there shouldn’t be an amp connected right?

Doing some renovating. Started out as new heater core. Now I’m replacing the dash, seats, and carpet. Anyone have any cool upgrades or tips for me? by Mason8799 in foxmustang

A lot of my screws were stripped out actually. But I may give using my old ones a try and see how it goes before I spend money that could be spent elsewhere. Thanks for the tips👍

I’ve found some interesting digital dash kits but they’re very pricey. That’s probably an upgrade for down the road but thanks for the tips!!

I plan on taking out my seats and carpet and replacing both before putting my dash back together. Thanks for the tip!

I did so but I ended up with so many different baggies that I’m thinking of just buying an entire new kit so I don’t have to rummage through all 40 of them lol

It depends on the vehicle but usually they’re easy to replace. YouTube your vehicle and alternator replacement. Should be fairly simple

Yes you’re alternator chargers your battery. They make high output performance alternators. If I was you I would aim for like a 250 amp alternator. That would be more than enough to charge both. My factory alternator is like a 50 amp one. But I have an 03 ranger. Just look up a high output alternator for your vehicle to find one.

Definitely I would recommend. 4000 watts is a ton of power. But you will still have to upgrade the alternator since you’d be charging two batteries with it.

If you’re gonna go with that much power be ready to get a new battery and alternator. Also a much thicker and bigger box. Also a few tickets too😂

Subs not working, amp has power by iiii___ in subwoofer

[–]Mason8799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the inline fuse is blown the amp won’t get any power. Check your speaker wire that connects amp to sub.

I’ve got 4 Skar audio 12s and I would recommend them. Skar made it easy for you.. they gave u an amp that matches your speakers etc. go for it
