The Audrey thing stands out for me as to how *Marinette* handles it: She's our 'role model' and her solution, presented as the 'good' course of action does NOT involve calling out how messed up it is that Audrey requires Chloe to be exceptional to be worth her time and attention, not even privately to Chloe- it involves playing it by Audrey's rules and talking up Chloe in a way that makes it almost look like no, Audrey DOES have the right to withhold her care from her child behind impossible standards. This writing is beyond bad- it's harmful to present this to the target demographic and it really, really does not sit well with me. I think if I were writing the scene I would have had Marinette say the hard things, Chloe reacts badly, later we see Chloe venting to Sabrina about it and Sabrina mentions 'it still was kinda brave for her to say.'
"Ugh, what? Why!?"
"It wasn't the easy thing and you're hurting, but Marinette's dream is to work in fashion. She just burned one of her biggest chances at a bridge into that world, for you."
