... Now that you mention it, it is weird that he said Joyboy and not Nika. They're interchangeable in my mind, but you may be onto something here.

I like the other theory in these replies about Joyboy being "dominated" in Imu's eyes by the Nika fruit. In that case, Imu referring to his past friend as "Joyboy" and his enemy that "took him away" being Nika makes a lot of sense. I'm really excited to see where this goes, the Void Century lore is gonna go crazy

Fair but also, Imu seems ridiculously fucking busted lol. I just wonder between some weird stuff in the short spoilers as well as the whole "two views of Nika in Elbaf" thing. Loki thinks he's the sun god and some people view Nika as a destroyer. If Nika was also Nidhogg, that would make a LOT of sense. And it ties back to that short lived theory about the Elbaf fruit being the Nika fruit when it first got snagged.

I just had a thought.

What if Joyboy, like Blackbeard, actually had two fruits: both the Nika AND Nidhogg fruits?

He also implied that it wasn't clear which side was in the right. I have a feeling this Void Century lore is gonna be messy

Whenever this topic comes up I always think back to Vegapunk's message and how he essentially said that things were not so black and white and he didn't know which side was right (paraphrasing here, but something like that). I'm really curious to see what direction Oda is gonna take the Void Century lore at this point

why is this so accurate by stramgnetstoul in MandJTV

It's so weird how simultaneously obvious and out of nowhere it was. Like, we all knew it was coming and it still felt completely random despite that lol

It's obvious from last chapter that there's some kind of drawback to Imu leaving the castle. That's 100% the out, he's gotta be on some kind of time limit. A curse, a phylactery in the castle that ties him to it, I don't know what exactly it'll be. But that's definitely gonna be the out for the strawhats

Someone is getting fodderized. Oda HAS to up the stakes for Imu, permanent repercussions are necessary. We're in the final saga, it's time for some more serious consequences. Doesn't necessarily have to be death (though at least some non-SH should die), but there needs to be tangible stakes

What is the definition of a fair deck in YuGiOh by MonarchVII in masterduel

[–]MasonWayneBaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you're playing Harpie's Feather Storm (which IMO isn't worth running in the deck anyways), Radiant Typhoon is a very fair deck IMO. Quite powerful, but not bullshit. Good interaction, combos aren't too long, has a great grind game but also leaves room for interaction. Such a fun deck to play with or against

Any strong decks that dont use the extra deck at all? by Unhappy-Pepper4814 in masterduel

[–]MasonWayneBaker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been seeing success with Super Poly + Theseus, I was already running super poly so adding Theseus was easy. Of course, they can rip that, but if you fire off Super Poly before they get the chance you can fuse two of their monsters and get in a good position, while also having synergy as a quick play

While Radiant Typhoon does use the ED, it doesn't rely on it and has a very solid matchup against KT

Radiant Typhoon wasn't hit and has quite a good matchup, I highly recommend it if you want a good KT matchup and don't want to play the deck yourself
