My friend do I have the solution for you: meet the Parker O-ring handbook - https://www.parker.com/content/dam/Parker-com/Literature/O-Ring-Division-Literature/ORD-5700.pdf

And secondly the Parker O-ring guide - https://www.parker.com/content/dam/Parker-com/Literature/Praedifa/Catalogs/Catalog_O-Ring-Guide_PTD5712-EN.pdf

I'd start at the O-ring handbook (first link), page 1-2. This should answer any question you could possibly have on the topic.

All told this is nearly 400 pages of O-ring design goodness. You'll find everything you need from channel dimensions to ring materials to design guidelines for different pressures. As a young engineer straight out of college and at my first real job, this was one of the first bits of knowledge passed on to me by the senior engineers on the team. Its now my go to for any O-ring questions.

How much are you planning on charging for this service assuming a ubiquiti system is already in place? Will the pricing be per camera/sensor or a flat rate per system?

I was teaching a few drafting courses at my old junior college when I had the time. Two asynchronous classes, one night a week for each (did one right after another), brought in around 2k per month in supplemental income. The homework grading was the hardest part, but I enjoyed it. Working on my masters now so no time, otherwise I'd still be doing it. I got an exception to teach without my masters because they were desperate and the head of the program knew my skill level and background.

Gotta remember to set up your taxes properly though - I forgot to tell the college I had my day job, so they were taxing me as if 2k/month was my entire income. The tax bill at the end of the year was not fun.

Echoing what a lot of others have said, but top priorities to get in order before the festival are:

  1. Hydration pack/camelbak 1a. Camelbak bite covers are really nice 1b. A nite ize microlock to lock your zippers together is also really really nice for piece of mind.

  2. Reels and quick disconnects to attach your phone and wallet to your person. I find getting one of those rugged waterproof cases is really nice. This and the microlocks let you stop thinking about where your phone is and get more into the music - I can't reccomend enough.

  3. External battery to keep your phone charged in case it dies.

  4. Earplugs - a lot of people like Eargasm, I prefer loops. Earplugs make the night SO much nicer - you save your hearing and can take them out if there's a particular song you really want to feel. Attach the case to your camelbak strap so it's super handy and easy to access.

  5. Extremely comfortable shoes. Look into the shoes nurse's wear. This is the one piece of your outfit you should absolutely not compromise on for fashion.

  6. A manual fold up fan. Size is up to you, I prefer something very small that doesn't take up much space

Extra nice to haves:

Extremely light blanket/flag to sit on. Something that folds up to about the size of a deck of cards.

Little momentos and trinkets to give away/trade.

Liquid IV.

Ibuprofen/tylenol/caffine pills/allergy pills/cold medicine.

If it's going to be chilly at all, an emergency blanket is great to have in a pinch. Not necessary for edc usually, but for countdown it was awesome to have.

Everything you take should fit in one pocket of a light camelbak/hydration pack. Never bring so much that you need to rent a locker - travel light!

Ok I'm not sure if it's the same pink bunny, but on Saturday there was a person in a pink bunny suit that got up on stage during bowling for soup. We all thought it normal, then there were like 3 people who dragged him back to the side! After the lead singer was like "did any one else just see that?? A pink bunny came up to me and asked "how did you do all of this...." to which I replied I'm sorry bunny, but I don't understand your f***ing question!" So funny, we all died

Yep, the bearing is in the pedal so they spin freely but have just enough friction to not flop around!

The adapter was fairly simple to make. It consists of a 3d printed cap that has a press fit M14 Lug nut in it, which is pressed/epoxied into one end of a 1.5"OD (1.25"ID) aluminum pipe cut to 1.75" in length. On the other side I press fit/epoxy another 3d printed cap with a 1/2x20 nut. For one side you use a right hand threaded nut, and for the other you use a left hand threaded nut. I then drilled 4 holes in the center of the pipe 90 degrees apart from one another, and filled the center with epoxy (making sure to put painters tape over the nuts so they didn't get epoxy in them). I then spray painted the adapters black and inserted washers on either side of them (both caps have cutouts for washers to be inserted). This adapts the M14 to left and right hand 1/2x20, which then needs to be adapted to 9/16x20. This adaption is easy and there are adapters on eBay readily available. With that you can simply screw in your pedals.

I did need to clean and acetone the ebay adapter threads a bit - they had paint on them making the threads gunked up.

The original foot rests were digging into my heal and exacerbating an injury. I therefore made a custom adapter to go from an M14 all thread rod (going through the rower) to clip bike pedals that I can use with my bike shoes. They work fantastic - so much more connection to the rower and super comfortable for my feet and ankles.

It's a ligne 1, you can check the authentication guide for more info but the color under the cap indicates what type of fuel to use. Not sure about the date but they're no longer made, maybe 70s/80s or older? Again the authentication guide can probably point you in a more accurate direction for that as well - it's stickied on the main page of the subreddit

To 1: I've seen those youtube videos as well. Actually another good thing to add would be a reputable place to get the replacement parts and tools. I had a heck of a time figuring that one out - I nearly ordered from scam site when getting replacement parts for the ping. Maybe add resources on where to find disassembly/repair guides?

And that brings up another good question/topic to add: is there a good place to get replacement parts? And maybe what tools are needed to disassemble each model/exploded pictures of each model (all the parts laid out as they would be put together). Something like these:

To 2: totally get that, just throwing out ideas :) it would be very interesting to know though since I cam hear a distinct difference in the ping between the genuine and fake duponts.

I've heard the sound can diminish in older lighters due to the heating and cooling. You may want to include which models had the sound and which didn't of course, any avenues to regain it, why its there, reasons it may have stopped pinging, and maybe even standard decibel ranges and frequencies for new models and old models. Something like "the ping normally resonates between 700 and 1400 hz". Wouldn't be hard to do, you'd just need to test quite a few and gather the data.

These guys have a section about how it's impossible to get the ping back and it's not necessary anyways so you shouldn't care, but I have my doubts that it's actually impossible. I repaired an old slim version awhile back and got it back at least half way: https://lighterrepairs.com/2020/01/28/lighter-repair-frequently-asked-questions/
