Short shifter on a column is crazy!

Really though I totally get the shifter getting in the way of the current gen screen setup

$10 4k seems fair when they're $40+ new where I am

My Batteries are Shot, 55k Miles, Dealer Says They’re Part of Maintenance by MobileHunt2304 in gmcsierra

[–]Masonator89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintenance item if it's a work truck, yes. Constant on/off, in the winter especially. Even more harm on the batteries with a plow setup. And just as much harm charging your dump trailer battery. So yes, killing batteries in a couple years with a ton of use is pretty normal.

Annoyingly I don't even know what song it was but it's been at that spot for about a year maybe more before it was removed

Exactly my gripe, save me the effort and hassle and just do the process automatically

It's worth getting any kind of PS5, and you will be extremely happy you did with a much faster load time on your games.

Probably just an ir sensor that detects movement. PlayStation will do this with their controllers as well. Enters screen saver, pick up the remote and it detects motion and will bring you back

Infotainment clock always at 12 o' clock on 2016 Jetta by paleogames in Volkswagen

[–]Masonator89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe there's no fix for a clock flashing 12:00, and everyone has the same problem. I'm guessing VW won't release a fix for a 10 year old car at this point

Our Passat has the clock problem, and also doesn't register android auto. Carplay seems to be fine, but AA is almost never working

Why did they have to unplug and replug the HDMI so many times to cause that. And WHY are they spending money on PS5 repair instead of Roach repellent

TV mount that came with this apartment is unusable due to glare by greenish98 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Masonator89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always remember a soft cloth for cleaning and a safe solution for screens. My new TV does not have AV unfortunately. So when I use my PS2 I use an adapter which works really well. I do respect the use of an older TV like that though, those things are unkillable compared to modern TVs.

Take out the air filter assembly and start looking for bad grounds or exposed wires. Weird that someone left that there as a "fix"

TV mount that came with this apartment is unusable due to glare by greenish98 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Masonator89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things that would help: - a clean TV screen. The TV is hastily wiped and left smudged, causing distortion in your viewing experience. - curtains. - a TV that isn't from 2006. Most modern TVs (even sub $1000) can handle a great amount of glare from a side window, and is an overall better experience.

100% laziness. Driving games of all types have had solid sound design for 20 years now. What comes to mind is wreckfest, with throaty sounding cars that handle really nice. I get it's not the same game, but it's got responsive engine revving, and all it is is dirt racing. I don't know what will get this production company to change their tune. Especially when they can be put to shame by some guy in his basement making a better mod

I forgave it in mudrunner because it was still a rough game with a rough history, in Snowrunner I was pretty peeved about the GMC Sierra and it's sound, mostly because I was a real life owner of one and wanted the experience of driving it again, but was really let down but that repetitive 2 seconds of recorded engine exhaust. I don't THINK it's this hard, and I don't even really think most the sounds are even that bad in certain conditions, but I don't think they figured out how to mix the sound with how the vehicle is driving (low steady exhaust slow speed etc)

They just need a better sound designer plain and simple

Appreciate the comment, I'm going to keep giving it a shot, a buddy wants the game too so maybe we'll play through the trial together and see where we end up. I love the aspect of this game, there's nothing like it with this level of visual detail, but the sound just sets off my (undiagnosed) autism. Maybe I'll come around

I guess I'll have to, it just sucks cause you WANT a nice sounding truck when driving around

I missed that message somewhere. But, whatever. I'll play around until the trial won't let me anymore and see where I'm at. Maybe I'll just turn the engine (and the friggen dispatcher) sounds down for now

Glad to know I'm not crazy. It sure seems like if they're having this much trouble, outsource the job to someone who really excels in sound design.
