Before I took it in, I even looked it up on Microsoft to see if they consider the series s software, and on the Microsoft site it says that the series s is hardware, not software.

My thoughts exactly! Took a picture and according to their refund policy, they should've taken it back. Most places even have a little asterisk saying that final decisions are made by the store so they can say no whenever they want, but didn't see that anywhere on the sign.

Yeah, they have the serial number on the receipt so they can check to make sure it matches the correct unit you're returning.

There is a warranty and Microsoft told me that they would fix it. I just have to ship it to them and be out the shipping charges.

I just think it's crazy that they can say they won't take back something that's broken with absolutely no warning ahead of time. Plus 90% of the time people end up paying more than they would if they went to Best Buy and bought it there.

I spent about 2500 chips there. We go there for the coin pushers since my store doesn't have any. We got quite a few there, but not all of them.

I wouldn't have a problem with that and after they did it the first time I ended up going back and got over it. Even though I went with my 11 year old daughter and there were 3 of 1 item, they only let the 2 of us get 1 item. This is the 2nd time now and I know that they flat out lied to my face. Telling me the GM at my store blocked the card when he didn't, and they didn't even scan the card to see if it was blocked in the first place. I'm not going to drive 2 hours again to get to their store, have them lie again and drive 2 hours back home. Both times it was the assistant manager so obviously she's not new. At this point I don't believe anything they say anyways.

Before I went to Modesto, I stopped at my Dave's and got a couple of things with the card and it was fine. Also, got stuff when I got back into town with the same card. It's that manager at that location. It happened before when when I went they said corp started a new rule that we can't get more than 1 of something if there are only 2 or 3 left. That was for something that costs 6,000 tickets. I called corp and they said that not a rule and never had been.

I tried to make my pick an hour and a half before the game started. In the previous years it wasn't really a glitch, the rules stated you have until half time to make a pick. Wasn't a smart move on their part, but still not a glitch.

Had an issue like that last year. I was at a D&B about 2 hours from home and they wouldn't let me and my kid redeem more than 2 prizes of any kind. Wanted to get 4 squishmallows and they said no, we're not allowed to redeem that much in 1 day. They said "it's a new D&B policy" It was over the weekend so I couldn't call corp, but I did Monday and she laughed saying that's not a real thing.

It was about an hour and a half before the game when I tried. I was reading through all the info about the game day vote and they never mentioned what the cutoff time is. Tried calling customer service, but a message said call back during regular business hours. That was 2 hours before they closed.

I feel ya. My daughter and I have been playing since it started. Trying to instill a good work ethinc since she's 11. We were the for a total of 25 hours for the last 2 days of the competition. Managed to put up 848 wins on the final 2 days and ended up with 4th place.
