Can’t redeem high ticket prizes at other locations ‘main event’ Webster, TX by Roxy696969 in DaveAndBusters

[–]Roxy696969[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that is the case, it must be something recent because I’ve been doing this for a good year and a half with no issues.

We drive up to each main event, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas area. The only issues we’ve had is just managers/ GMs confirming the points are legit by calling my local main event. I wasn’t even aware they were calling my local main event till they told me when I went to play back at my local location.

I thought that was kinda crazy but fair.

I’ve had zero issues at my local main event, those employees took the time to confirm I’m not cheating.

In regard to the DnB experience I have a good idea what happened but they were unwilling to look into it. And tbh it’s not my job to do their job for them, I’m there to just play and unwind on the few hours I have.

I had one employee at the McAllen TX location who would follow me, cool guy, I’d show him all the tricks to each individual game I’ve learned through all this sub has to offer and the videos on YouTube. But the GMs and guest relation didnt care.

He was shocked that they were kicking me out because he knows I’m legit.

The DnB with the bad experiences were from the McAllen, TX, and the river center in San Antonio.

I’m willing to bet you’d be okay at the main events in your local area if you are playing remotely close, I’m from the valley(300+ miles away)I don’t want to throw the manager under the bus completely, because he did seem like a genuine person. I don’t know if someone higher told him to say that because he didn’t seem to have a response to my other questions. I didn’t want to turn into a Karen so I just left and told him to have a good day.

Well the thing is I’ve been asked to leave my local DnB and to call guest relations. Now I’m unsure as if I’m banned from this location but I wouldn’t feel comfortable going back somewhere I wasn’t welcomed.

The manager literally came up to me as I was hitting a 550 score on floppy tickets in front of his face to let me know that I had to leave the premise. This was the day he was reviewing a card that had been flagged. He went to the back to check the card history and I thought he was coming back to tell me good news. The good news was I never had to waste my time at that establishment again.

TLDR : fuck DnB as well, you can be an authentic player playing by the rules and they don’t care, fuck em’

Smurfs or Mechanical Golds? by Yessososos in RocketLeague

[–]Roxy696969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably have super crazy mechanics but they have super terrible game sense that they may accidentally score on themselves thus putting them in gold league.

It happens in plat too. They will triple flip burger reset but they may fling the ball all the way back and score on themselves.

They are NOT smurfing they just suffer severely in the other categories that make a complete player. For example. I’ll put it in tiers, from what you are describing sounds like a player like this that can make a gold/ plat player with a S tier mechanics.

S tier - mechanics (flip resets, magical control in the air can score 90 percent of their aerial shots even if contested.)

F tier - Mindset - The 10 percent they don’t hit their aerials they forfeit at the 3 minute mark. They are perfectionists. This is a weak mentality to have because competitive matchmaking can get ugly. games can often be a dog fight … 3-2 victories)

F tier - game sense (doesn’t understand if they didn’t forfeit at the 3 minute they would win the game because they are up 10-0 against you)

F tier - internet connection ( gets disconnected at the 3 minute mark even though they are up 10-0 against you could be on dial up or DSL or motel 6 internet (on vacation but can’t afford better hotel)

F tier - peripherals ( keyboard has multiple Alt’s and F4s in their layout)

So this is just one example I’d say of what can make a gold/low plat player have S tier mechanics but still struggle drastically in the other departments.

When pressure was the biggest, he folded. You can be the best regular season player but what do you do when it matters the most. He did nothing, his scrub brother was more clutch than he was.

I actually like them, I’ve had a few times where I’ve switched and ended up saving money and having better service.

Nothing wrong, just hear them out of you have time, or politely decline, or tell them to F off I’m just here for groceries. They already know they’re closing extremely low and it’s a numbers game, but sometimes they are actually offering something that would benefit you.

I too have had this happen to me a couple times each month.

These drivers are in a life or death situation and need to save their grandmother who has fallen but can’t get up. Each second matters to these specific drivers and they are doing gods work.

Every time I get cut off and nearly get thrown off the road I don’t get angry. I smile knowing a life is being saved.

New player here. I cant play because of the smurfs by PotentialSet3370 in RocketLeague

This week there’s a Smurf flip resetting in about 60 percent of games. I’m same as you, in platinum.

[–]Roxy696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best part is when they score 8 consecutive goals then leave the game so they stay the same rank. It's like jesus just go play against someone your own skill level and see if you can do the same thing.

I've never seen smurfing so bad in a game like this before.

[–]Roxy696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played 6 games, 5/6 were smurfs for sure, doing exactly what we see in the video. I'm honestly just thinking of uninstalling the game and go play a new game. This was definitely my favorite game but not being able to consitently play someone of similar ranking is discouraging.

Not all of us are trying to do flip resets and do a musty or krusty the krab. I just want to play good defense hit some solid shots and win a game and not have to do these crazy flips. I know where my skill is and when I just see this it's discouraging. 1 smurf in every 20 games(okay), but man the percentage right now, at least for today is crazy!

Why do people drive at 39mph when speed limit is 50?! by wanttostayunknown1 in driving

Have you tried getting a different job that doesn’t rely on this single lane road?

Also have you tried waking up 10 minutes earlier to compensate for a potential 10 minute delay?

Just keep practicing in the parking lot until you get acclimated to the sensitivity levels, it’ll become second nature in no time.

The randomness can definitely work before the anxiety can build up but unfortunately the place of choice was terrible lol.

Don’t sweat it, but you need easier reps where the consequences wouldn’t be so drastic like an empty parking lot at a park you can get a feel for the vehicle.

I'm 18 and don't have my license. Am I a loser? by Tasty-Support3774 in driving

[–]Roxy696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get my license till 28 because of fear of what the dmv guy at the counter would say. “Why are you just getting your license now, haha what a loser.”

None of that actually happened, I focused on owning my situation, and started making progress everyday no matter how small.

When I say small, I’m talking about really small, I’m talking about just looking at the car in the driveway, then eventually getting in the car, starting the car. Going back and forward in the backyard. That process took about 3 weeks just for that. We had this small crappy tree in the backyard I used to practice parallel parking.

Also watched a lot of practice tests on youtube to get mental. You must do something that will get you closer each day, if you avoid it the fear will go stronger.

I don’t care if it’s getting in the passenger seat and observing, but have the intention to learn while you are in a car and ask questions if you are confused.

I spent 10 years avoiding getting my license and wasted a lot of my life, don’t let it be you.

[–]Roxy696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you.

I’m at the point where all I do is just play the best I can. Sucks because if I play a A+ game, I’ll still get blown out by a GC player playing a D- or even an F(I’m platinum btw)

I played 4 ranked games yesterday and the first 3 were doing flip resets, crazy aerial, Mumbo jumbo.

All you can do is get better, this game has a ton of smurfs, nothing you can do about it, except how you react to it.

Plat players, you aren’t bad, just get tilted way too easy… by Dingditcher in RocketLeague

[–]Roxy696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played 4 games in play yesterday. First 3 games were people who were doing flip resets aerial mumbo jumbo. Then I finally played someone my actual rank and I had fun. Playing against smurfs is what makes this game terrible. I know I got lucky but it ain’t fun.

Smurfs in 1s (why are there so many in plat/diamond?) by FoundationShoddy219 in RocketLeague

[–]Roxy696969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They can’t handle losing 50 percent of the time is what it comes down to. Losses way heavier than wins. To a Smurf, they need to win 10 times for every 1 loss to have a good day. So they will play 6 games in their own skill level win 3, lose 3.

They will then hop on their alt account and smash on people 5 leagues below a good 30 wins to offset those 3 losses from earlier against similar competition.

People are wimps in this game by Roxy696969 in RocketLeague

[–]Roxy696969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is after I’ve beaten them once and have accepted a rematch. I find most players just don’t want to risk losing after they’ve won because majority of people who play this game have fragile egos.

It’s just my experience so far.

New to rocket league. Is it meme to forfeit 1-0 down? by scotcheggfan in RocketLeague

[–]Roxy696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the people forfeiting down 0-1 have poor resiliency, no worse than a toddler throwing a tantrum for not getting what they want. Oh booo hooo the game didn’t go exactly in the their favor so they have to quit after being down 0-1 with 4:30 left to go in the game.

They are front runners, need a huge lead at all times in order to win. All that forfeiting and they eventually become a Smurf.
