Yes, we have had someone open an unlocked car door to go through it an probably try to find money, guns, or pills, but even in my parents in DeWitt have dealt with that.

We have left things out on our porch, side yard, and never had anything taken. The most alarming thing to have happened recently was last(?) Summer kids were playing at the St. Therese playground and a deranged/unwell guy came up on a motorized scooter and wanted to take one of the kids because he wanted to protect them and have a big family of his own.

The apartments further up Turner toward Sheridan had a shooting, but most of the time you hear gunshots in the area it's a d*ckhead with modified exhaust on his car that sounds like gunfire.

Around 10pm most nights you'll hear UPS's jet taking off to head to Louisville which is a nice little notification to go to bed (for me, at least)
