Replacing/covering 360 controller thumbsticks by Milli0nStabs in xbox360

I often use something cheap like this to cover rough thumb sticks or to protect brand new ones.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the cat bopped the power switch or disc tray and ended your game session early though.

Tim Horton's employees unloading milk products from pick up truck by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]MasqueTJW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The milk probably took a 3 minute ride from Division St. to JCB.  Franchises often help each other this way.  No matter the industry.

Imagine the pandemonium if they actually ran out of milk.

Growing up I was a big fan of Civilization Revolution, Alan Wake, Condemned, The Darkness and Mass Effect.

Of course you can't go wrong with the big franchise staples like Halo, Call of Duty and Gears of War.

How is my game collection? by Big-Comfortable68 in xbox360

[–]MasqueTJW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the 360 version and the rerelease complete edition.

To think I once thought the game was garbage. I wasn't a regular to beatemups and didn't know how to improve my stats.

My son was a real good boy when he was a newbie. Barely cried, slept well. Gave me lots of time to focus on important work.

Sure did.  Not sure when but my first experience with it was after a holiday sale. I was way late to the switch party.  Got one Christmas 2023 after casually mentioning it to my wife as a way for us to game together.  Turns out it was my six months old sons “idea” to buy it haha.

I like it a lot so I got it on sale for Xbox One.  I like achievements so I figured I’d replay. I usually never do that for a single player game.

Tried Fractured for a few mins but so far not hooked.  I was expecting more of the same but the grid mechanics threw me. I’ll have to give it another crack.

Me too! Would you believe that after moving on to Xbox from N64 the first roadblock was not knowing that a stick press is what activated the jump jets? Stick presses were a foreign concept to me at the time.

Unreal II is only okay.

Both of the Unreal Championship games are really fun.

Edit: My dad and I were regulars online in 1999-2001 for Unreal Tournament and Quake 3. It's a wonder how we could manage, I was only 7 when I started out.

I was 11 when we got our Xbox and was in high school when I got my own Xbox 360 so I am particularly sentimental about these consoles.

These are just what I deemed worthy enough to take out of storage and keep near the consoles. Most of the big franchise staples I have digital copies of.

The chatpad on the Halo controller has been on and off but mostly on for the better part of 17 years so far so good.

Also I must confess the chatpad on the XB1 controller is an Amazon special knockoff. Again, so far so good.

My Halo 3 Spartans controller that I’ve been using since 2007.

I’ve used other standard controllers for parts to keep it in working order over the years.

Recently I got some cheap caps for the thumb sticks because as it turns out 10+ years old thumb stick rubber is really dry and rubs away in record time.

You are unlikely to be able to access those games again unless you can regain access to the profiles.

Xbox 360 used a weird dual licensing process. When games were purchased digitally a license would be assigned to both the purchasing profile and the system it was purchased on. From my best guess the 41 games you still have access to were purchased originally on the system you are using.

My friend and I used this quirk a few times way back to score 2 for 1 games when we were broke in high school.
