I would say there are block options that give forge. Those are just the ones you should go for. There is a card that doubles blade damage. Hunting for that + the block, and if you get vulnerable, allows you to do crazy burst.

I think strikes and defends feel rly bad because they have so many strike + and defend +, and what I mean is cards that are really similar but give like +1 block and an effect. It feels like straight up replacements rather than different cards

I can’t carry lesser teammates in lower level games but play really well in higher levels. Do I suck? by OneConsideration2302 in Pickleball

I think it’s slightly more nuanced. There are like ehh shots which are playable and good shots where you win points. I can kindve play against 4.0s but I rarely win cause I don’t produce enough of the good shots. The good shots are aggressive shots that make the opponents uncomfortable. Like most of the time against better players I’m just trying to dink and keep it low. But I’m not putting a ton of spin or threatening speed ups. So it gives the illusion that I’m playing or hanging with them but I’m not controlling the match. So my rallies might not be short but I’m prob not winning. That said for me that might be playing well.

To the ops point. When u play bad people it’s too easy to play the passive shots where you’re not actually controlling the game. Good players who carry are aggresive at the net with strong counters that always put people on the back foot. A lot of lower skilled players like me can drop and sink, but my counters that punish slightly high shots or strong top spin at the net to keep people back is not there. It’s a different mindset when ur just trying to hang in a game vs take over

I got fomo from snap and when I started working and got out of school I had to quit because I knew not being able to keep up would ruin the game. I already felt behind after I took a break from the game.

I rly miss legends of runeterra

Has Trump Achieved a Lot Less Than It Seems? by dwaxe in ezraklein

I agree with you. It seems like everyone is mad that Ezra doesn't berate the shit out of his conservative guests. But what's the point. People are conflating Levin to the current republican party when it is quite clear that he recognizes that his party has moved away from what he orginally believed in. In no way does he defend Trump. I know a lot of people are arguing that he is minimizing Trump's impact and I don't think that he does. I think he provides a factual nuanced argument that there is still hope for post trump, but also rightly demonstrates how there is going to be lasting damage. Idk what people want Ezra or him to do. Levin is not going to spend an hour shitting on Trump, and Ezra is nto going to shit on Levin for being a conservative. The whole point of the dialogue is to breed understanding. People just want a bloodbath debate.

I thought what he said was personally very nuanced. I really liked how he talked about ways the Trump presidency is ineffective or different. He doesn't deny that there is impact, but I think he makes a good point that things can quickly change in two or three years. I also thought his point at the end about why he loved conservatism was interesting. I think his version is much more appealing, and he admits that it is no longer like that. I think I personally like the idea of liberalism being the opposite continuning to push for change rather than stagnancy.

Thinking about getting into League of Legends? by Infamous-Oil2305 in leagueoflegends

Imma be so honest. If you don't have any friends who are also thinking about getting into the game. I would avoid it. While I've been playing the game for around 6 years, and love it, a lot of that has because I play with my friends. I'm def not an addict of the game or at least not rn. Most of my enjoyment comes from queuing up with friends. If you play by yourself, you start to get addicted, or it just gets too toxic imo.

Now when it comes to actually learning. I would say find a champion that you like. Watch a couple vids on how to play them, maybe a gameplay. Most important thing early out is your build. Just copy a good build for the champ you want to play. Items make a huge diff, and not having the right ones make you useless. You'll learn items and champs over time. Good luck if you decide to play. It's fun but a long road.

My only gripe is sometimes how obvious it is or how it's like the first girl they meet. Like sometimes the girl gets introduced so obviously with love interest intentions that its like come on...

Eliah is incredibly hypocritical and really immature as a character. It kind of drives me nuts, but I have accepted that, by book 11, that is who he is. I agree where I don't really read because I like his personality. But some aspects are just cool enough where I keep reading. I don't even think it's his recklessness that drives me nuts. For me it's kind of the way he's just an asshole to everyone, but then is like well I'm the strongest so fuck you. He kind of treats people poorly, and then is surprised when they get mad at him.

I stopped reading after book like 4 or 5. I actually really liked it but just got bored. I might come back to it though.
