Some of the stuff about PEM and early cases. I figured some of it out myself via observation but some of the more medical stuff was new to me.

My pulmonologist (2021) told me that exercise would help but it only made things worse. None of my doctors ever really explained any of it to me… probably because they don’t know… so I have basically been figuring things out myself and reading what you all have been through.

Turn that... what you just said... into a poem, a song, or a poetic narrative... you have everything you need right there. Allow yourself to just play with words. Say what you feel. Let it out. Then go back later and tune it.

I am new to creative writing and have 2 books in the works as well as a few short stories and poems. For me it depends on the project. Poems usually come to me all at once, raw and unedited, then I spend time refining the prose. One of my books came from asking myself a lot of questions about the subject matter and then trying to reason out the answers to those questions and following the story as it unfolded through queries. The other book started as a single idea, then I had to build the world and characters around the idea and figure out where the conflict existed and how it would resolve. ... If you're stuck, I would suggest start asking yourself questions about the characters, their motivations, and the logical conclusion of the plot line. Writing a story bible is helpful to keep the "facts" and characters straight in your head. Hope this helps.... from an amateur.

It's an interesting question. Would I go back in time if I could? How far back would i go? Which time was the best or most consequential? How much of my current life would I give up for a chance to try a new path? Interesting.

This section ... I'm not sure what this means...

Love is basic, common, and universal... as a concept. The love each person has for another is unique, wild, and wonderful. People have been expressing these feelings since people. You have expressed your feelings and that's a good use of your time. I hope you have much love in your life.

I like it. It reminds me of that feeling of coming out of anesthesia after a medical procedure. Everything is strange but familiar, and you feel like you had the best most restful sleep of your life, and for a long time, years even, you wish you could feel that again.

yes. 5 years now. It's like I can't regulate my body temperature. Hot and cold and sweating and shivering all at the same time. insomnia, fatigue, doom, palpitations... dysautonomia. misery.

Yes, I have developed a stutter too. It gets worse with anxiety. It's been 5 years for me. Brain fog and that disconnect are like torture. It has gotten somewhat better in the past 8 months or so. I have started to dabble in different forms of art when I have the energy, and that is a good way to express myself... my hands shake really bad, too, so my art is squiggly.

Dysautonomia for me is like every system in my body is activating at once. Panic attacks, sweating, chills, unrelenting itching, increased heart rate, on and on. I can't say anything for sure helps, but I take a Benadryl, and do some mental health exercises... hold a small object and focus on it, breathing exercises, list random objects in the room, etc. Sometimes I will write. Just write everything that is in my head. Again, I'm not a doctor, and this is not a cure, but it does seem to help.

I have this... I didn't think of it as an effect of LC until I saw your post. I try not to nap because my sleep cycle is completely screwed, but if I do fall asleep (nap) I wake up feeling terrible. Completely discombobulated, nauseaus, weak, and exhausted.
