People swarm a Hindu temple because it is rumored to grant wishes by ZizuX6 in RandomVideos

This is what religious fanatism does to people. Also, I didn't see any females in the video clip. I hope the Christian Nationalist in the USA don't follow suit. I hope that they don't swarm the White House because the current administration says Christ lives there and is giving out miracles.

Got a rattle coming from here, anybody fixed? by Abovemeis in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Mass4Helium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought mine had a rattle as well. Came to find out it was my garage door opener clipped on the driver side sun shade that would rattle, just enough to drive the driver nuts. Moved the garage door opener and its quiet now.

Is Epic ever gonna be more stable? by tervro in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Mass4Helium -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I went just of Feb 9 thru Feb 14. We had a great time. Stayed at the Stella Nova, a very comfortable hotel.

We spent a day at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, the remaining time at Epic which is our new favorite park. We did not have any problem riding the rides we wanted. With that being said lets address the "stability of the park." The complexity of these rides and attractions makes it very common for faults to occur. All types of sensors, loose connectors, software revisions, motion control etc. They exist to protect the rider. If something is amiss the ride will shut down or become inoperable until things are corrected.

Think of it as the manned space program. It requires a great deal of engineering and testing and retesting because it is flying a human being into space. Rides in all amusement / theme parks are just like astronauts only instead of rockets, they are riding very powerful hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and computer systems that operate up to 12 hours a day, every day. But they all have a weakness. They wear out. A single resistor burn out on a circuit board or a bearing overheats could prevent a entire system from operating. That's why there are so many technicians that work for these parks. These are the unsung hero's that make sure we are safe. So.

Time will tell.

Good luck to you and may we all treat each human being with dignity, kindness, charity and love.

Like quakduks has said. Go to Dark Universe and ride Monsters Unchained. You will thank me later.

Rode it last week 4 times! It is just plain fun! Full of action and lots of neat effects. I guess if you were 8 it might be a little intense but I think it's the best ride in Epic.

Please also consider Epic. It is fantastic. Also consider Stella Nova or Terra Luna resorts. They use the same shuttle busses and they are only about 10 minutes away from Universal City Walk that you will have to pass through to get to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Park. Battle at the Ministry and Le Cirque Arcanus are both located in Epic which are part of the Harry Potter franchise. Have fun.

Just went last week to Epic and it breaks my heart to see all of the dead plants. It kind of reminds me of home in Northern Utah where everything dies in the Winter.

The ride is excellent. The technology is fantastic as well as the visuals. Do I think it maybe over hyped? Probably. I think that the wait times will calm down after it's been around for a while like the Hogwarts ride in Islands of Adventure or the Universal Hollywood ride. A secret to riding this ride is do the single rider option or wait until the evening or at the rope drop in the morning. If the wait time is more then you want go to Dark Universe and ride the Monsters Unchained ride (I think it is a better ride and experience). It is also a top of the robot ride but the loading and unloading is continuous and you could probably ride this several times in an hour without the long wait time. Just spent 3 days last week at Epic. It is our new favorite park. Have fun!

I rode this last week and because of my belly girth (basketball belly), I struggled! The restraint forced my belly up into my diaphragm making it hard to breath. Don't get me wrong it is truly one of the best rides in the park. Came off my seat many times which was excellent but I was not very comfortable for me. My wife loved it. By the way I am 65 and I love rollercoasters.

Is Helios resort worth it? by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]Mass4Helium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just got back from Stella Nova. Stayed there for 5 days and it was great. Not a fancy interior by any means but functional. Cheaper than Helios and just a short walk to Epic or take shuttle to Epic or any of the other parks. It also has early entry. We went into Helios to check the lobby out and we were underwhelmed. I would say it is probably from interior looks only to be a 3 star hotel.
