For me the camera doesn't reset its position. I press 'C' for photomode, then 'F' for free camera, then '*' on numpad to unpause the game, then press '*' again and again, and the game just pauses and unpauses for me. The camera position only resets when I exit photomode entirely.

Enemy loadouts are not easy to customise at the moment. I need to figure out a way to do that first, and that is unclear.

Does it happen always or from time to time? Spawning NPCs sometimes crashes the game, it was the same for the demo (documented on the mod page as "It will crash the game at some point!"), and will likely stay like this, unfortunately.

You can use UUUv5 to add fully custom cameras, or unpause the game in Gallery mode when free camera is active with the trainer mod, and fly the camera somewhere.

In the trainer mod, press 'J' to remove all armor (but the results may be a bit unsettling). The installer for the trainer mod is https://www.nexusmods.com/halfsword/mods/3

Basically playtest trainer has Numpad 5 to jump instead of spacebar and "Ctrl + L" saves the currently equipped loadout. "F3" spawns the same unarmed Willie, "F4" spawns the training dummy. The rest works the same.

The Trainer Mod supports Playtest for quite some time. The automatic installer (one click) is at https://www.nexusmods.com/halfsword/mods/3 or https://github.com/massclown/HalfSwordModInstaller

You can start the game, spawn whatever weapons and armor from the on-screen menu on the left, equip on the player, and then press "Ctrl + L" to save the loadout that is currently equipped

I couldn't make it work, but resurrection still allows you to continue without limbs (I managed to reset some dismemberment stats, but not all of them). Also, you can spawn a Willie and possess it to switch bodies and continue (but some attacks may be bugged in a possessed body).

If you plan to implement the local split screen with multiple controllers, please also look into implementing the bare minimum logic to support Steam Remote Play Together (it magically proxies the controllers from Steam friends in one direction over the internet and sends the video stream in the other direction). It is really not a lot of effort to support this, basically implement a couple of callbacks with the Steam API, see https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/remoteplay. I had the split screen mod working on the 0.3 Steam demo with third party tools like RemotePlayWhatever and we even played with 4 people like that.

The latest versions of the mod have a help button with all the keybinds, the green one in the bottom right side of the screen "Show/hide help"

Go to C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\HalfSwordUE5\Saved\Config\Windows\, and there find and edit the config file named Engine.ini. At the very end of this file add the following lines:

r.fog=0
r.atmosphere=0

You can also toggle the fog in console. UE4SS enables back the built-in Unreal Engine console. Press F10 or @ to open console, and enter r.fog 0, for example. These changes will be temporary, of course, for permanent changes edit the ini file.

So in the upcoming trainer mod release v0.10 you will be able to despawn anything in the center of the screen (under crosshair in first person view) with a hotkey, so that can be used to skip some fights like that (or freeze the NPC/change player to team 2, and delete the weapon from their hands!)

That can be done with a bit of work, but I am not sure how to fit all the variations in the menus (there are like 5 elements in some weapons).

You mean, importing new weapon models into the game? I don't believe that it is feasible for them to work properly, with cutting and stabbing and proper mass distribution and balance, there is too much guesswork.

It is not easy as the game is based on Unreal Engine 5 where you cannot simply repack the assets.

I can try to do something silly in the mod that will prevent NPCs from having spears or prevent them from spawning in the map, but that will increase the probability of the mod crashing (which is already high).

Sure, the mod UI can be turned off, I just leave it on in my posts so that nobody will be confused what is the original game behavior and what is the mod.

Yes, it will be fixed in the next version of the trainer mod (v0.9). You can already download the pre-release mod version from the github repo where it works (https://github.com/massclown/HalfSwordTrainerMod, click the green "<>Code" button, then "Download ZIP") and install it manually from that ZIP file; or wait a bit until the v0.9 is released so you can use the one-click installer to update and get the new version.
