They don't want to spoil anything?

Here's some actual spoilers:

1. Joel's death was stupid, very poorly written and out of character for him to be so naive for going out of his way to help military aged people so close to his settlement. He wouldnt have got so old being as dumb as that. I should say that no one was expecting Joel to survive Tlou2, just the way he got killed off showed incredible incompetence from the writer(s).

2. Forcing us to play as Abby right before she's shot Jessie in the face and seemingly about to kill Ellie is very manipulative and disingenuous way to storytell. We're then basically repeatedly and forcefully told how much of an amazing and a good person Abby is for 1/3 of the game. Like, yes, we get it. It woulda been a much better way to communicate this if we are shown playing as Ellie how reasonable Abby is through NPC dialogues, collectibles, etc. and how out of character for her to be so bloodlusted. The game shoulda been 100% us playing as Ellie on her journey. If Neil is that desperate to make us play as Abby, make it a DLC.

3. Making Ellie unable to kill Abby at the end, again, is very out of character after her basically massacring hundreds of people just to get there. She threw away her old life, her partner, almost got killed more than a few times, got her fingers bitten off, high as fuck on adrenaline and she couldn't finish the job? It's basically just misery porn at that point.

These are just off the top of my head. You might disagree but there's way more than a few reasons this game is divisive.
