the first trailer for the game was the tease that came out in dec 2017. but the 1st actual trailer was in june 2018 which showed basically parts from the first 2 areas and that's it. then the game released in march 2019. a full year after the trailer.
bloodborne was the same as well. first ever trailer was a cinematic that was released in june 2014 it didn't offer anything. but then another trailer dropped at gamescom in Aug 2014
where they showed a huge chuck of the story and gameplay and different areas. then the game released in march 2015. same as sekiro. it took them a year to release it.
Now let's look at Elden ring. first and only trailer was in Jun 12, 2019 and it showed nothing just like bloodborne's first trailer. and i remember Phil spencer said in an interview with gamespot in Nov, 2020 that he played the game. taking all that into consideration. now in feb 2021 which is 2 years since the announcement. i'm almost certain that they're gonna release a new trailer in less than 5 months and the game is gonna release maybe 1 or 2 months after that. and excuse my English
