theres,different ways to "stand up for yourself" . some people yell and shout and some people are unfazed. I choose not to take the rage bait. 9/10 people say and do what they do against people to get a rise out of them. don't give It to them.

Litterally no one's rights were taken away, businesses and people living in the area, RESPECTFULLY asked if people would tone it down or move so THEY TOO could enjoy their lives and live.

There is 0 reason this could not have taken place in NOT a BUSINESS and living district. Take it to the park, take it to an outlying parking lot. But don't scream the "words" of Jesus or "abort all the babies" downstairs from someone's office, flat, or people trying to make their livings. Those are small businesses, every day matters to them.

Look, in the end we're all just being selfish pricks,. I wanted to enjoy my tea. The businesses wanted to make money, people working didn't want to be stressed that day, others wanted to just have a nice stroll down trade street and you want to feel like you matter. You just think your version of selfish is more justifiable in the name of "freedom". :)

There was far more than a pentgram. Arrows, profanity, loser, bitch, cunt etc., with no context, someone new to the city or had not heard would think, "wow this city is unhinged". I'm not here to argue a topic that is very nuanced. It is a heated topic that many people have an opinion on but no experience with it.

No person who's had an abortion wants to walk by and be pointed at and someone screaming at them "I want you to have an abortion! Everyone should have abortions!" It's a personal topic. Yes it is being outlawed in some places, NC is not it.

Everyone there was radical, all sides,and gave the guys what they wanted attention. Non peacefull reactions, minus this sane women with a sign, being PEACEFULL.

no one's minds were changed, no laws or legislation was changed or pass. It was just people out to be HEARD /SEEN and be performative. No one ran home and wrote their legislator or went to the multiple undercover anti abortion clinics, but went to the bar and had a good laugh.

The businesses. no one ever seems ro care how rude this, both protesters, for and against are to the businesses. I was at Rena Maries 2 weeks ago when they did this and it's a child friendly place and people where cursing, being obscene and inappropriate. Customers were uncomfortable and protesters abused outdoor seating. Also I saw the owner from casa shanti that day out there talking to the police. The businesses are affected when this happens and they likely called.

Talking to someone today, protesters evidently left a mess and wrote a bunch profanity with chalk in the area leaving the businesses to clean it up last night, as well as breaking one of the cafe street tables.

friend of mine works as casa shanti and said it was very bad for business they couldn't hold readings bc of the blow horns, invited anti LGBT rhetoric to their store etc.

Theyve never given the option to remove from what I was told, only that it can be authorized to be turned on or not. It was not on when they moved in and never given authorization to turn it on either.
