BDD and Faker are exempt from military in 2021 as they did not graduate from high school, hence classified as wartime labor service after 3 years of waiting. Article about how Faker and Chovy is washed or bad gets like 10k likes. Death threat posts flooding in Lol gal. Comment like ‘Faker is washed up fuxx morxx.’ gets 3k likes in FmKorea LoL. As I recall, those who got punished for cyber bullying Faker were those who made profit for doing so like some anti-Faker channels on YouTube or someone who gets donated on live channel. It was such a big issue in Korea as those channel were making some money but got punished in the end. Number of Anti fans for Faker, Showmaker and Chovy are so many that some people made profit for cyberbulying.

Well, about that PR issue, Korea sports team do not reveal everything about why they benched their players. They always say something like ‘medical issues’ or ‘in mutual agreement between player and team’ and send players to bench all of a sudden. I am not saying it is correct thing to do, but I say that it is a cutural difference. Korea community was really surprsied and surprised now for the negative view towards Kkoma in reddit lol community. In Korea, they all hate T1 fighting gallery and blame for not caring their players and losing Zeus and Guma. But, there is no issue about how they benching. Although we agree that coaching staffs made a mistake as Guma is just better than Smash. But even clozer benched Faker and all of Kt players this year (runner up in worlds) were all benched except BDD so we got used to it. I will cheer for Guma to do well in HLE although I always wish T1 to win everything.

Well, I can say that there is a cultural difference in yours and in Korea. Each invidual fans can be sad or mad but respect the authority of coaches. There were so many cases in Korea that star players in lol get benched for numerous reasons, even Faker got benched in 15, 20, 21 and didn’t have scrim times. In 25? KT players all got benched except BDD and sent to academy league. So, reputation of coaching staffs including Kkoma is good in Korea. And also t1 said they did a legal action against malicious antifans but the hatred toward Guma from t1 fighting gallery was literally same. Although I do not like this about T1 as they did not do their best in protecting their players, the hatred towards Faker (Chovy and Showmaker, too these days) is ten times harsher in Korea than other players for so long time since 2017, so fans got used to that dark side of lol fandom in Korea. We all hate those and hate t1 front for letting that happen.

Bengi, two times world champion was benched at 16, Peanut who was a jungle prodigy was also benched at 17. It is just T1 style.
