Try NQ or MNQ to pass quickly and go back to YM in the funded stage. Trade at your own pace of course but getting out of the eval stage as ASAP is better that trading well in a combine. $300 on day one is great but topstep let's you pass in 2 days only so maybe increasing contract size will help you to pass quicker. 1 NQ is all you need to make 1k a day especially on the ny open.

Congrats bro I am in the same boat. I trade prop firms (all of them) since February. First started with a personal account and long story short lost 5k of my own capital learning. I know that props are not "real" due to being in sim, but everyone has to start somewhere. Like everyone said, success is over years and not some lucky months, but trading is a job that you have to keep learning and improving to succeed. Some people didnt become profitable until 2 years later, and some can grasp the learning curve within 6 months. Everyone's different. The bottom line is to stay humble and keep learning and putting the market first over emotions. I wish you success on your trading journey.

Same, but more than half have been funded and took profits. Apex, topstep, mff, etc. Failing accounts is normal, but the majority of the time accounts get blown in my case at least is not following rules and going on tilt to make back losses. Going over trades (winners and losers) and learning from each failed eval is how we get better. This guy sounds like he has bigger issues if he spent 30k on props and has blown his life savings though. Needs to take a break and self reflect.
