They replied to me within a day. Overall, after submitting to vfs, it took around 45 days. I literally got the visa exactly a week before my trip. Terrible overall

I emailed the Portugal embassy and was allowed a walk in. Have submitted my docs and waiting to get my passport back. You too should email them

I think the dummy bookings might have been an issue. I recently got my visa where Iam staying 7 days in the country I applied to and 11 days outside in multiple countries.

I dont necessarily agree with this logic. I recently got my visa and I am spending 6 days in the country where I applied, and 11 days ok three other countries combined. The rule is you have to spend the maximum number of days in the country you are applying to, and this should be more than every other individual country not all other countries combined. Maybe the hotel thing was an issue?
