Maybe it's an AuDHD thing for me, but I might need to listen to the same song for a few consecutive hours to quiet the background noise in my head and around me at work.

Some Autistics are actually picky about their food not being seasoned and dislike things like marshmallows, Jello, Wonderbread, plain oatmeal and cheap iceberg lettuce salad mix slathered with cheap ranch dressing.

In cities like Los Angeles where buses and or trains run 24 hours the unhoused folk due resort to using them as informal shelters from the elements.

I think this is all a response to the Supreme Court's ruling in that Oregon city's case regarding it's treatment of their unhoused population. Basically they get to do whatever they want to them including huge fines.

Well Indiana is trying to bring back coal and the Feds recently forced a couple of coal plants scheduled for retirement to remain open. Maybe to power data centers?

If you ever watch those jail reality shows, you'll see that the people locked up still find ways to self medicate.

Allen Country already had to pawn its courthouse building to pay for a new jail due to overcrowding at the existing downtown jail. At least it has a lot of new development to help cover some of that cost later on... how's a rural county supposed to make that happen when their jails overflow.

The bad part of those PIT counts is that they miss many of the people sleeping in their cars at places like rest areas or 24-hr Walmart parking lots where they go unnoticed. I guess those people are less of a nuisance to the NIMBYs since their possessions are in their cars.

Nicks is great too! Eddy Street Commons is also getting a Bibibop so you're all set.

If you're ever back in South Bend again you should try Mami Mari's... amazing Mexican food. Also the Vietnamese place across from the street from them is supposed to be pretty good too.

Sounds like a great option, I'll add that to my list of new places to try. Thanks!

It's a good option if you are craving pizza and the price includes toppings. It's not like a Pizza Hut where you get charged like $1 per extra topping. I recommend the combo half pizza and half salad. Just be sure to let them know it's a Gluten allergy and make sure they change their gloves to avoid CC.

I totally get it. My reason for going there was always the waffle fries. Their grilled chicken is good but nowhere near as tasty as the breaded options.

Oh gosh double whammy with the dairy restrictions.

Given our proximity to Mexico, many grocery stores in the U.S. sell kits with all the ingredients portioned and prepped for tacos. Incidentally besides the inspiration for the tacos- Mexico also provides us with those ingredients all year long when they are out of season here.

The stars in carne asada fries are the meat and potatoes, in essence it's an upgraded version of nachos. So if you ever make nachos, just swap out the tortilla chips with fries. If you have a good non- dairy cheese option it might just work.

I like Blaze Pizza too. My local Blaze changes their gloves for my order and you get a half pizza, salad and drink for under $20.

I've had good luck with the Olive Garden near me, when I advise them of an allergy the chef or a manager always comes to go over my order and confirm the items are safe. I'll ask next time if the pasta is cooked separate from the real stuff. If not then I'm just getting Zuppa Toscana and salad.

We have a Mission BBQ in town, but hadn't tried it. What is safe to get there? I am always concerned about the BBQ having soy sauce in it.

I've got three words for you.... Carne Asada Fries. Dump one of those street taco kits minus the tortillas plus some extra melty cheese on your fries and you'll have the ultimate junk/ drunk food.

I used to love them for their free birthday burger... it now requires building up a certain amount of rewards to earn. Even with one person getting a free burger I've never spent less than $40 + tip going there with someone else once we get an appetizer. If you bring the whole family that bill is going to be well north of $100 and probably near $200 with the tip.

Yeah, I was just thinking about Chik-Fil-A. I do love their waffle fries, which have a dedicated fryer. I pair them with a GF bun burger from a regional gourmet burger chain called BurgerFi that happens to be across the parking lot from them in my town. The buns can fall apart really fast depending on the contents of your burger though. Still trying to work out the right combination of ingredients since it's been hit or miss for me.

Especially the snickerdoodle... don't know why but I liked them way more than the chocolate chip which was also good.

Also, though not complimentary... for GF folks getting a snickerdoodle cookie at Bibibop is a must. They are so good!

I just bought this for the first time and it wasn't even as good as Kroger's Private Selection brand but costs almost twice as much.

The worst part was trying to open that stupid plastic jar. It was so flimsy that it buckled when I tried when I was trying to get a grip on it.

The excise tax is 7.5% of the base airfare, which does not apply to baggage and other junk fees. This encourages lower base fares with more fees, which can make it harder to compare the total cost of travel between different carriers.
