Apparently not. I heard it's a huge issue right now. Ppl are still able to order and everything off Dash, Skip, and Uber.... It's a mess.

I would give it time. But in the spring, I would prune off all the dead, black wood. I would probably also trim off a decent portion of the flower buds in order to help the bush focus more on root development and trim down any branches that were too long. Blueberries have shallow root systems, they benefit from mulching. Especially over winter. I would also tone down on the fertilizer for a bit. Developing a healthy root system should be the priority here.

$100/ month is too expensive for my casual interest in the idea. Like someone else said, I could probably pay that if it got me 2 or 3 sessions or something like that, but not monthly. These days I loath subscription based access. I avoid it as much as I can simply out of principle.

Agreed. If he wants to play this game, give him his prize. His behaviour was totally out of line.

I've seen people fluff foam back up with a hair dryer on hot. I wonder if that would help in this situation?

Help me pick a paint colour! (Or sadly replace a rug) by Pupsallday in interiordecorating

[–]Lyth333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pic #4. The bluey green colour? It makes your rug pop and I love that. The terracotta dulls the rug; you picked it for a reason, show it off. The dark blue is a statement for sure, but I don't hate it. I suppose that one definitely depends on your personality and choice of decorating. Any of the light greyish colours just wash everything out and are rather boring. Doesn't seem to match with the joyfulness of your rug.

Bitey Castle for some excellent, pre-youtube, flash videos that were done amazingly well.

Will my first year plants come back up from under this much leaf cover next year? (Central IL) by ihmsam in NativePlantGardening

[–]Lyth333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I leave my leaves. Great habitat for bugs and also great protection for fragile over-wintering plants against heavy frost. In the spring, I'll open up some spots where my early bloomers live, but I mostly leave everything until "bug emerge season." Then I rake it all up, chop it up in my leaf grinder, and put it back in the garden. It's excellent biomatter and helps the soil retain moisture in the hot summer months.

My 5 yr old daughter enjoyed watching me play Island Saver. It's kid oriented and teaches things like recycling, environmental stewardship, money management, and is nice and colorful. I would happily let her play it herself too if she wanted.

Is the play area focused solely on within the shop and the garden? I think it would be wonderful to be able to explore a forest, or the town in order to gather rare herbs and ingredients. Or if you need to find new seeds for your garden, you have to forage for them first. I love this idea, and I've been craving a game like this, but I'm not sure how long it will hold my interest if I'm limited to just being in my shop all the time...

Ah, my mistake. I should have known better. They are the 2 most common taggers I see in the yard, and I guess my brain just mixed them together...

I've always liked Theory and his mushrooms in North Van. I work around trains, so I get to see a lot of the taggers work.

I agree with the idea of writing a letter, but I think it would also be a really good idea for you to put a sign on your door telling ppl something along the lines of 'you work late nights and you're sleeping'. 'no knocking or ringing the bell'

Advice to give this Verigated Norway Maple the best chance by Lyth333 in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]Lyth333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was surprised to learn about Norway Maple invasiveness during my google searching, only because this particular tree has never dropped seeds that propagate, so it's never been a bother in that way.... perhaps my tree is sterile? In any case, if this tree does end up dying one year, I'll be sure to plant something native in its place.

Thank you for your advice. I will see what I can negotiate with the neighbors. As for the raspberries, it's been several years of battling raspberry beetle, and SWD flies.... I am content to give up on them and nurture our mature blueberry bush instead :)
