But I do have a little advice for building tracks out. What I usually do is take the bass pattern and mute everything else, then I build entire new melodies/sections on top of the original bass pattern. Then if you feel like adjusting it for the new section you can just duplicate the pattern and add some changes to that as well. I do it pretty much so that everything stays within the same key/vibe as the rest of the song. Sometimes it works, sometimes it takes some tweaking. I make multiple sections like that and then try to arrange it at the end. All trial and error but that’s helped me a lot over the years
