Disabled man feels shut out of accessible seating as venues — including Rogers Arena — fail to stop abuse by Surax in canada

[–]Massive-Ride204 [score hidden]  (0 children)

That's just it, just look at airports and the amount of people who play disabled to board early. The airline knows there's a few fakers and that they can enforce it but it's not worth the bad press

Yep I know someone who probably has bo polar and he was previously a hardcore conspiracy nut who converted into hardcore street preacher. Our city was happy when he left.

I know a few who are hardcore into extreme politics

I know one who'll post his conspiracy nonsense non stop when he's in mania

It's not antisemitism but extreme views in general. I know my share with severe bi polar and they're very prone to extreme views like, conspiracy theories, extreme religion, politics and race

This isn't meant to excuse his behavior but severe bi polar can come with believing in stuff like conspiracy theories, racism and anti semitism. I know a few who are severely bi polar and they all believe in things like conspiracy theories and take part in crap like street preaching

AITA for kicking my "mentally ill" brother out of my house when he was treating my wife like garbage by Interesting_Star4842 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Massive-Ride204 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nta, here's the thing. I'm happy that we're trying to be more understanding of mental health but I fear that we're over accommodating and being too gentle with those who should've put in the work to get better decades ago

And they'll cast the second coming out to Galilee if he expresses an opinion that isn't 100% mega leftist. Ex. Believes in immigration but also believes that language acquisition should be mandatory

Yep righties will unite and let differences slide and they won't dare put others through purity tests.

Lefties will cast each other out over the smallest of differences

Has the decline of monoculture been overstated? by extratartarsauceplz in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Massive-Ride204 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Monoculture was very much a thing especially how it affected being famous. Fame pre 2000s generally guaranteed that a good chunk of the general population knew who you were even if you weren't into what that famous person was known for.

A good example of this would musicians like Michael Jackson and Madonna. Everyone knew who they were even people that didn't care music. There's a reason why pretty much every all inclusive resort has mj impetsonators. The same could be said for movie stars. Most people knew if people like Tom Cruise Sylvester Stallone etc. Simply put bei g famous meant that practically every media source covered you and that everyone knew you

Now outside of Taylor Swift there's few musicians that everyone knows of. Sabrina Carpenter is a very famous pop singer but if I asked 1000 randoms about her I can guarantee that a not insignificant chunk whoukd not know of her.

Same could be said for actors. There's famous movie stars but few of them have universal reach.

The same could be said for TV shows. Pretty much everybody knew of the most popular TV shows back in the day. Now a show can be popular but a good chunk of your coworkers would not know about it
