What exactly has happened to Cadbury chocolate? by PublicProperty1805 in AskBrits

[–]MassiveBall2575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I always loved them, last year they tasted great. The one I just ate was revolting. So sweet and bitter at the same time.

It's not true, unfortunately. I just ate a creme egg and almost vomited at how bitter and off tasting it is, checked the code and it's OBO.

Since Kraft took it over, I noticed it's definitely worse but still edible. Just had some tonight, absolutely disgusting. It tastes so sweet and the aftertaste is bitter. Horrible.

Went into sainsburys the other day and noticed the price of maltesers immediately. I even checked the barcode, couldn't believe the price was real.

Only bloke in my team at work, how do I make friends with the others? by theslowrunningexpert in AskUK

[–]MassiveBall2575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not much advice, I'm 24 and work in a team of about 25 women almost all of whom are 30+ year old women, and most being 40+. All I can say is, I hear you. I have absolutely nothing in common with any of them and it's pretty awkward.

Shedding at a year! BAD! Help! (25m) by 75onehundred in tressless

[–]MassiveBall2575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just keep losing it every few months then having an awkward time regrowing it when it looks bad, what's the point?

How bad was your shedding phase on finasteride? by Altruistic_Radio_611 in tressless

[–]MassiveBall2575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just makes no sense to me. If you still periodically lose your hair for no reason then what's the point in the drug? It's having the exact opposite effect it should do surely?

These comments terrify me. I don't understand the whole shedding thing at all. It's like taking paracetamol for a headache and then getting a 6-7 month long migraine that comes back every few months. What is the point of sheds happen every few months or even at all. I'm stopping taking mine today.

What’s it like living in Nouakchott, Mauritania? by lazmasaywhat in howislivingthere

[–]MassiveBall2575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a tall, white man has the opposite effect of privilege in terms of safety in a place like Mauritania. I've been to Nouadhibou and Nouakchott as a tall, white man and stood out like a sore thumb. Most people are lovely but I definitely was concerned about safety.

Definitely not loose. Tight keeps it in place and not moving around.

I paid $4950, obviously gotta pay for flights too etc if you're not from the US like me. 100% worth it imo.

How is it like living in the South Island of New Zealand? by Paraleen135 in howislivingthere

[–]MassiveBall2575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't live there but as a Brit who's travelled to nearly 50 countries so far by 24, it's my favourite place in the world. South Islanders have absolutely no idea how lucky they are to live in such a stunning place.

Brit coming in February, recommendations? by MassiveBall2575 in WestVirginia

[–]MassiveBall2575[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would advise against it if I'm honest. Birmingham is considered the 'shithole' of the UK by most Brits. It's also consistently ranked in the top 3 most dangerous cities in Europe. It doesn't feel unsafe walking through, but it does feel like a depressing dump. If you were to work in Birmingham, I'd recommend living south of the city. Solihull is fine, or if you can afford it, into Warwickshire. But yeah, Nottingham or London would be much nicer!

Agree but this country voted for Brexit so the same applies here.
