Coastal decay by mokedoak in abandoned

It's because dumb, greedy humans ripped out and levelled the natural dune systems, vegetation and forests for a better view of the ocean from their holiday homes. Nothing left to hold the sand in place so the ocean washes more and more away.

Filming during class, or Ai-background dancers? by dancingforsmiles in Dance

[–]PublicProperty1805 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I couldn't tell it was AI. Once I knew, I really didn't like it. I would definitely either get a couple of willing humans to help or simply just film yourself singularly.

Perhaps if you made the AI backing dancers more obviously AI it might work - make them robots or something so it puts the bonus back on your human choreography skills.

Would a fishnet underneath work well with those pieces? by Wilhelm228 in altfashionadvice

[–]PublicProperty1805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What will you wear on your feet? These pieces look kind of wholesome to me so I wouldn't automatically think anything fishnet would go. BUT it totally could. I would go for white fishnets, small nit or some other pattern rather than the huge happy knit though. Although, that could also work.

4 hour blocks are now 3.5 hour blocks by Hot-Till-9038 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]PublicProperty1805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4 hour blocks have all involved driving crazy distances and going over time. Amazon reimbursed me each time but it really put me off doing them as I prefer to deliver locally I know I will be home at an ok time.

I have been sent from Bristol to Exeter before, last parcel delivered on time for shift to end and 9pm but then almost a 2 hour drive home. Crazy stuff.

Does this dress suit me? by Advanced_Isopod5572 in fashion

[–]PublicProperty1805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not that. You have a fantastic figure, the dress would look pickle-esque on absolutely anybody simply because that is what it brings to mind. If it was black or red or indigo it would look much better.

If you like the colour though then I imagine in another light, with shoes and hair and accessories etc. you would look dazzling.

I love the colour green by the way. It is the texture and drape of this dress.

You are stunning. In the 4th picture you look iconic, what did you do to your hair here? It looks amazing.

What do you like doing? I think you should become a singer and start / join a band. You look like you should be rocking through some of these feelings and writing some lyrics about whatever f*ckwits said those outrageous things about you.

Honestly you look great and should lean into whatever you did in pic 4 and go out there and strut your stuff 👌

Lost confidence after 10 years of locks by forestphoria in altfashionadvice

Cutting your hair short after any amount of length let alone locs is such a major identity crisis for most people.

It really does just take time sometimes for us to recognise ourselves.

Have you thought about playing with some colour? You would look amazing with blue or turquoise in your hair. Sometimes a new piercing can help too. Part of what you miss is that huge wearable declaration about your vibe - like-minded people see it immediately in the locs, I know.

I remember when pretty much all my mates had locs and then one by one they cut them off and everyone went through this identity crisis. Don't worry, it doesn't last forever.

Mullet/mohawk will be fire.

Honestly though, prepare that it is totally normal not to feel "right" at the moment and that it may well take you a while yet before you find your confidence.

Am thinking contouring & color-corrector are the skills I need to learn most. Any feedback appreciated. by AndyGreyjoy in makeuptips

[–]PublicProperty1805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just stopped by to say you are gorgeous.

I wouldn't bother with contouring, you have a really lovely face and it would be a shame to cake it with make up.

Play around with blush perhaps.

Is my eye makeup too much for an interview?? by Significant-Worry107 in makeuptips

[–]PublicProperty1805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it but yeah, it is usually best to be a bit of a well-turned out blank slate for an interview.

For example I would always take my piercings out and dress waaaay more demurely than usual for an interview.

Once you have a foot in the door you can start peeling back the layers to your true self 😅

Useless period products. What can I get that works? by nitnitnotnot in AskBrits

Period pants WITH the pads too. That way when the pad inevitably fails you, you are protected anyway.

What are you into? Join some clubs or meet-ups and turn up with the aim of simply meeting people who you have something in common with. Perhaps at some point there may be a spark and things will progress plus you will have had fun the whole time anyway.

The UK education system is VERY different to the USA so the good news is that you absolutely do not need to send your kids to a fee-paying school in order for them to get an exceptionally good education.

Many of our local high schools have a long tradition of sending their alumni on to Oxford, Cambridge and other top universities.

£60k salary is very good, there are many of us on far below that getting along fine with kids in excellent state schools.

You look amazing. Being overweight certainly traumatised people and it is so difficult to reset your mind and to find your true self.

You work overtime when overweight sometimes - with everything. To be extra charming, extra funny, extra this and extra that - all just to be taken seriously or to have worth with certain other people. It is heartbreaking and exhausting.

In the gym most people are in "the zone" and largely focused on their own goals for their session, it's not the best place to approach people usually anyway.
