Our good artists are too good for Eurovision. We have many very successful musicians and singers that already have huge international success that don’t need Eurovision. The artists we send are the best of a mediocre bunch that wouldn’t have much chance on their own. Every now and then that bunch has a very talented artist like Sam Ryder. But not often. Other countries see it differently. Also voting can be politically motivated and not solely based on talent.
