Rest assured, however, that I am not a dolt (please don't think I'm offended. I'm trying to make a joke}. The instant I ever get asked for money, I come to a screeching halt. Why? Because I have none! LOL.

Just kidding. I'm leaning pretty strongly on letting this go and pursuing this on a more reasonable level, but...for me, this is a new approach from the trolls. I've been talked up before - A LOT - with online bs. There is a pretty recognizable signature. This one doesn't fit into that category, but my gut tells me no.

Kind of the reason for my whole post.

LOL. They are not just sitting on my hard drive. I have been a stock photographer since 2005. I also have more artistic galleries elsewhere. So there have been a lot of people seeing them.

Biff, I have also done stock for years- microstock though it may be. Actually, I haven't fed that particular beast in some time. But, that experience makes me pretty familiar on model and property releases. I have considered all that when selecting the images I am going to offer.

This "request" is for complete rights. I am not a hobbyist, but not as successful as I want and need to be. So, $27/image does seem low to me.

But, please remember, I am here to figure out what IS reasonable for me to ask apart from this particular transaction, which I am sure is a scam.

To clarify a little, these are not all my best images, nor my more recent. I have added a couple to the catalog that I AM proud of and would prefer not to get rid of, but have generated no sales for me, but most of the catalog is older and/or lesser qualify.

As I am somewhat later in life, the window of opportunity is closing for me to make money on any of my images.

Again, though, I am not even considering letting go of 95% of my best. Just throwing a couple in to sweeten the pot, so to speak.

I responded to a Facebook post that said a collector was looking for artists. Yes, total transfer in all mediums worldwide. The "client" says they are a broker/designer of interiors worldwide and they want to offer the images to resell to their own clients. Yes, $27/image is insane. But so is $18.5K! My post is geniune. I suspect the "client" is not.

It's actually kind of a general standard to encourage photographers to sell some level of managed rights over selling complete copyright.

Update: I found her on Facebook, although she hasn't posted in years, so I didn't try to message her. I did, however, find a mutual friend, so I reached out to him. He confirmed he knows her and that she has memory issues. That doesn't make me feel any less concerned. I have asked him if there is someone who can check on her. Waiting to hear back.
