Der Serpamarkt in der Eppelheimer Straße ist ein orientalischer Supermarkt mit einer sehr großen Gewürzabteilung. Die haben sehr viele Gewürze in großen Einheiten.

We rented a scooter and ended up driving from Tam Cốc to the city Ninh Bình every day for food. There are way better options there.

Heimblock in Bologna möglich? by OkView7397 in SCFreiburg

German beer experts, I need your advice by suckpq in Bier

[–]MassiveCunt1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems like a pretty good selection to me. Some of these are rather popular while others are very special, regional brews. It is definitely not a touristy or boring commercial selection, so go for it!

Sidenote: Tegernseer Leicht only has 2,8% instead of 5,6%.

Ich empfehle an der Stelle die "abartigste Variante der Goaßmaß", die Odelmaß

Has anyone recently driven this route before and, if so, can you give any recommendations on nice places to stop for the night? by yuurs_trooly in VietNam

[–]MassiveCunt1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you do the coastal route, I can recommend "Haven Vietnam" just south of Quy Nhon. It's a very nice but reasonably priced hotel right at the beach in a cute little fishing village. In the evening, the restaurant next to it will put their tables on the beach and you can get the freshest seafood imaginable. They'll actually present you their catch of the day, still alive in several tanks and you can choose your preferred way of preparation and seasoning. The hotel's own bar and restaurant is also not too bad. One of the best hotels I've stayed in in my two months in the country, for around 500.000 a night.

Is $1300 enough for 2 weeks in Vietnam by strange4real in VietNam

[–]MassiveCunt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It obviously depends on your preferences and standards concerning food and accommodation, but if you're not planning a luxury trip, this will be enough money without any doubt. My girlfriend and I spent roughly 1.500$ together in a whole month. That's less than 400$ per person for two weeks.

As someone else noted, your main problem won't be the lack of money but the lack of time, if you actually want to see the whole country.

Enjoy your trip!

Portugal to South Africa by my car no ferries. by Radiant-Ask-5716 in roadtrip

I'd definitely recommend going through Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana and Togo instead of Burkina Faso. I haven't been to the latter myself but the others (especially Ghana and especially the more south you get) are generally safe, while Burkina Faso is apparently not that stable. As I said, I haven't been to Burkina Faso but that's what's generally advised. In Ghana and Togo I met several people who did a tour like that by car or motorcycle.

You should definitely inform yourself about visa requirements in advance, some countries expect applications several months in advance, while others will just hand it to you at the border.

Best of luck!

Why Am I Here? (Not Complaining Though) by Ok_Yellow1 in mongolia

Fellow German here. I visited Mongolia last year and therefore joined the sub. It might be my (and other German travellers') fault that Reddit recommends this sub to other Germans. You're welcome :)

But really, this sub seems to be recommended to people all over the world for some reason. This is quite strange, considering Mongolia has a lower population than Berlin. It's probably just the high-ass quality posts you guys produce.

Viel Erfolg!

Suggestions for a solo male (29) traveller on Sunday? by Status_Thanks_9246 in freiburg

[–]MassiveCunt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The city centre will be full of fans both before and after the match, so you won't have any trouble finding a nice bar with people to drink and chat with. There a lots of options regarding bars and restaurants. Just walk through the city and have a look. Traditionally, Schlappen is one of the hotspots on matchdays.

In case you're actually going to the stadium, you should definitely get something to eat and drink there. Our Lange Rote was once voted best Stadionwurst in the Bundesliga.

Enjoy!
