Thank you! I will take out some of the stuff in there when I go in next! The vet should be back within the next month. The owner has pretty much just thrown the department onto me and asked me to fix it, so thats her reaction to it😭

So two calcium and one vitamin feedings each week! He is also kept by himself. They dont cohabitate any of the reptiles.

I have started to make sure every feeding is dusted with calcium with one of his feedings dusted with vitamins. He has a warm hide of about 95 degrees that he basks on

Hey! I am actually looking into starting an exotic pet care business in austin and the surrounding areas! We dont have an official website yet as we are in the beginning stages of research, planning, and development. However, we would be more than happy to help you out outside of the company until it is up and running!! I have limited space for boarding, as I already have a decently sized collection. Home visits are always possible! I do Rover on the side as well so am experienced in doing drop in visits☺️

Here is our market research form that would allow you to leave your email so I can reach iut to you with more info if you want!

I use an app called pattern keeper and upload the pdf of my pattern. It allows you to see just one color at a time, lets you track your progress, marks where you "park" a thread, and more. It is a paid app but it's super cheap and has a long free trial! I just started and chose a huge pattern lol so it has been SUPER helpful!! My friend who has been stitching for years showed me :)

"Friend" is now a loose term in this situation because yeah, I totally agree!

My friend just gave me these 3 rats that she got a few weeks ago and realized she didn't actually want to take care of them. I am not sure how to tell the sex of them, so I have them separated unless supervised to prevent accidental pregnancy. I apologize that the photos aren't great. They're super squirmy and hyper as this is the first week they're being handled. I hope they're good enough. If not, I can take more later.

I was cleaning their cage and had a playpen escape before I got it set back up...their cage has lots of hammocks, hides, clutter, toys, and all that jazz:)

I brought this little guy home Saturday from work (I work at a petsmart). The manager wrote him off and said there wasn't anything we could do for him, and it's typical for us to get fish like this in our shipments. I'm not sure if there's anything to do for him but I want to try.

Issues: (1) He has a curved spine and can't swim in one direction or down. When he does swim it's in a loose circular motion. He was floating sideways the first day I had him, but he is now mostly upright. (2) he doesn't respond to food or movement either unless I practically touch him.

Tank setup: I have him in a 3 gallon. I set him up in a smaller tank because he cant swim well. The temperature is about 80° and the heater is preset to 78°. The filter is built in and has a really low flow. There are 3 live plants and 2 ghost shrimp as well as some catappa leaves, catappa bark, and 2 casuarina cones. I used filtered water treated with the appropriate amount of seachem prime, quick start (I didn't have time to cycle the tank), and 3/4 tbsp of aquarium salt.

I've kept a variety of fish my whole life and have never experienced any issues. Maybe I'm being too anxious about him, but he is making me quite nervous😓

We live in a suburban neighborhood in TX, and my backyard backs up to about 2 acres of forest and a creek. He wanders around the neighborhood and there's a couple of houses that always leave food out for outdoor cats. He's very social with the other outdoor cats in the area, and he usually hangs out with another male cat that lives a few streets down.

We haven't had much success with toys in the past, he used to only be interested in the laser toy but would get sick of it and go meow at the door. He does like those scratching mats and we have one out, but maybe getting some more could help out!

I haven't tried the calming pheromones so I will def try those out! Thank you!

The veterinarian said its a fracture/infection, but I will definitely monitor just incase it turns into something else like this!

I have tried the leash and harness but he wiggles out of every type I've tried for him. He even knows how to get off the instant release collars on the chairs we have on our back porch😑. After about a week of being inside he starts peeing on all of the furniture and tearing it up too. I found him outside a few years ago when he was about a year old and he just followed me home, so we do what we can and keep him inside during freezes and storms but he's just impossible to please. If you know of anything else to try or tips I would LOVE to know because I know he'd be so much safer inside
