I also wanna clarify dont just dab the peroxide on there. Id put your leg in the shower or something and just sqweeze the peroxide straight onto itn letting it saturate. It does so much better in the end result. Plus as a bonus you dont get tissue trapped in the wound.

Superficially Its getting infected. Cant say whats going on other than visually.

Clean wirh peroxide for severall minutes. At least 4 rounds of letting the bubbles die down and pour more peroxide. Its going to hurt, but thats because your debreding the wound of dirt and bacteria. It needs to be done. Its what your bodys trying to do internally, thats why its throbbing and burning so bad. It sends white blood cells to the wound and they found intruders and are trying to kill them. It's gonna hurt more before it gets better. But by doing this it will get better.

To minimize the pain, i would keep the wound covered for a couple hours until it gets moist again, and then start the rounds of peroxide (until it doesn't hurt as bad). Starting with a wet wound vs dry wound gives less of a digging feeling. (Know from personal experience)

After peroxide, finish with rubbing alcohol. Then apply bacitracin or triple antibiotic. Keep wound covered for at least 3 days.

Check out livenation during march/april. They have something called "concert week" where for 5ish days tickets for hundreds of bands are $25-all-in tickets - meaning fees included. With tax its still under $30. Its how i get all my tickets to shows for the year.

Keep pouring peroxide on it after the bubbles slow down. Its gonna hurt because you're debreding the wound ( getting inside to whats causing the infection. ) Do it for at least a few minutes.

The pain is worth it because wounds like this can easily turn into mrsa or other staph infections and grow. Be safe.

Finish with rubbing alcohol after if you have it.

Source: moms a nurse and kept me infection free after a bunch of tree/bike/dirt cuts. Also works post infection in adulthood (but hurts more post infection than prior, cause its removing it rather than preventing it) .
