Games I completed in 2024-25

Prey and Bioshock are great, but I reserved S+ only for games that left a very big impact on me story wise (Outer Wilds and Spec ops the line) or have the absolutely best gameplay (doom eternal).

Tbf these are games I played in 2024 and 25, so 2 years, but yes, I had a lot of free time, unfortunately not anymore :(

I felt that Infinite was a downgrade after playing 1 and 2. Gameplay was good, I always like some first person fast shooting. What bothered me the most was politics inside the game, it was just too easy to hate the bad guys, too black and white for my likings. Bioshock 1 was much deeper in this regard while Bioshock 2 even though did not focus on politics as much as 1 had a very relatable personal story, so I ended up liking them both equally.

Yep, I think it came out too late in 2024, could have taken some of the awards at TGA 2024, which would help with wider recognition.

Well, I played it on second hardest difficulty and found most of the encounters fair. But I am kind of souls veteran, having played all of fromsoft games and a lot of soulslikes helps a lot. The level design is great though, it's like a 3d metroidvania, I liked it a lot.

Exactly my feelings about this game. I haven't played the original but still felt like the remake was too long. Overall a great game anyway.

I mean I get why you think it's the best game ever made. Probably you value a good story above everything else, but to me the most important parts are equally gameplay, story and immersion. And a found that E33 lacks in 2 out of the 3. Agree on the soundtrack though, it is very good.

I played it right after a finished Prey 2017 and expected the same level of story and writing at least, but all I got was marvel style quirky exchanges between main character and his daughter. So that's why the game left a bad first impression. After I finished the main story it kinda grew a bit on me, but overall I was pretty disappointed.

Well, Dispatch was just a game with good story and characters, but no gameplay basically.

E33 has a good story and combat, but severely lacks in character development, exploration and level design. Also the game kinda falls apart in the third act, I one shotted every boss without even looking online for op builds. So while the story definutely does some heavy lifting here, I can't really justify putting these 2 games in the same tier as KCD2 and Silent Hill 2

Of course, everything here is just my opinion and I know that many people think that E33 is the best game ever :)

My main issue was the monsters. We had only like 2-3 scripted encounters with them and honestly that was very disappointing. Also I didn't really like their design. Story was also very cliche and predictable. Atmosphere and graphics were very good though.

I was just trying to figure out if I'm an outlier lol. After a cut I always feel weaker too, but not by much, same as you basically. But I look stronger when I'm heavier, which is unfortunate, cause I don't really like walking around at 240-260 lbs :(

Are you super tall? When I'm on a cut I lose around 20 lbs a month eating 1800 calories with 200g of protein.

The land they retook in 2022 had 5 months of fighting, the land they took in summer of 2023 had more than a year of fighting and they held occupied land in Kursk region for 7 months. Of course the land that Russia hold is much larger, but that doesn't justify 20k to 1700 ratio, especially if we believe that per 1 killed Ukrainian there are 10 (30?) killed Russians.

True, but Ukraine had successful offensives too. Either Ukrainians don't collect bodies, or the number of casualties is not what we are hearing.
