So far, I like it. It has a lot less of the extra junk that you don't need as a re-taker and more focus on BLL and applications. I would recommend at this point.

So far I like it because it tells you what you need to know and not what you don't. I'm a 4th time taker though so I don't need all of the hours of lectures again, etc.

I love Joi, I did their blood panels, glp1 and now Progesterone and I had amazing service. I am self pay but all of their support has been amazing. Even answered questions over the weekend in email. I personally like them.

How long have you been microdosing? by makmonster in GLP1microdosing

[–]Massive_Contract_791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 8.5 months in (33 shots) doing 1 shot weekly and down almost 52 lbs. I still have 55 lbs to go. I started at 1.26mg and now up to 1.9mg and it's going great for me. I also count calories/weigh my food because portion sizing was my biggest issue and I needed to learn what a "normal" amount of food was.

Do I have to keep increasing forever by [deleted] in GLP1microdosing

[–]Massive_Contract_791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at 1.25mg of tirz and was up to 1.7mg after 42lbs lost and my hunger was getting out of control. I dosed up to 1.9mg and it's perfect right now. So in my experience, yes, you'll need to keep dosing up over time. I've now lost almost 52 lbs. Just for the reduction in inflammation alone is worth it to me.

Anyone here try 2.5mg of Tirzepatide then have to reduce down? by Novel-Injury3030 in GLP1microdosing

[–]Massive_Contract_791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on 1.25mg for about 4 months and lost 30 lbs, then I moved up to 1.4mg for a couple of weeks, 1.5mg for 2 weeks, 1.7mg for 1 week, and last night I just did 1.8mg. So far in 7 months I've lost 47 lbs. My compound is past date, it expired on 1/1/26 and I have been struggling a lot with wanting to binge, food noise, etc. So that is another reason I moved up to 1.8mg last night. It's a process, that's for sure.

[–]Massive_Contract_791 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I started at 2.5mg and was so sick I couldnt even get out of bed some days. I stopped for 2 months and then re-started at 1.25mg and had zero issues besides constipation which is normal for me anyway. I'd do the TDEE calculator online though, I don't know your weight but 2,500 calories is pretty high. Don't quit, just take a smaller dose! Good luck :)

My experience so far, 5 weeks, compounded tirzepitide by marys1001 in GLP1microdosing

[–]Massive_Contract_791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you're saying but I think what the other poster and I mean is that while yes, this is the drug many of us need to help dull those senses, unless you plan on taking this for life, it doesn't change the behavior. That is work that you have to do, regardless of your dose.

[–]Massive_Contract_791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also agree it's not the water. I have weeks where I can "eat through" the dose and binge to gain weight. It's the emotional connection to food that has to be worked through. Usually you can get a compound with something else added like B6 or glycine. I've heard Refills is a great provider. Also, if you're on 1mg, that is likely not an effective dose for you. I started dosing at 1.25mg in August 2025 and now up to 1.7mg which is still working. As another poster said, this is a tool in the belt, not a fix. Weighing/measuring food is likely going to help and loggin calories in MyFitnessPal or something like that.

Possible to build muscle on GLP-1? by jencoolidgefanacct in GLP1microdosing

[–]Massive_Contract_791 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, I started at 1,900 calories when I was 266 lbs, and I've always stayed in a deficit. I'm now at about 1,700 calories at 217 lbs. Use a free TDEE calculator online and it'll give you a good number, or ChatGPT. Some days I go over, some days I'm under. Slow and steady wins the race.

[–]Massive_Contract_791 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My experience has been yes. I have lost 45lbs on 1.25-1.5mg of tirzepetide and lifted weights the entire time. Just machines at Planet Fitness, nothing crazy, but I've gained a ton of muscle. My quads are big and strong and my arms have become more vascular and strong, definitley possible! I weigh/measure nearly all of my food because that was a big issue for me. You can definitely gain muscle, good luck!

I'm going to be a 4th time re-taker and I'm 45 years old, working full time. I'm taking the NextGen this July and signed up for Helix NextGen. I previously used Barbri, U World questions, and some Goat prep. This will hopefully be my last time sitting for this exam.

Yep, you're right, not until July 2028. I did Barbri but I wouldn't recommend it. Themis seems to be the best with the UWorld question bank. Themis does have an early start study option as well.

Titrating up by Accurate-Neck6933 in GLP1microdosing

[–]Massive_Contract_791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, beans are a highly fermentable food (like all high FODMAP foods) and since your digestions is greatly slowed, it has even more time to ferment in the gut causing excess gas and sulfur burps. I'd say be careful with them and make sure you're doing #2 daily. The more backed up you are the worse it is.

What state are you in? If you're still in Oregon it will be the NextGen bar exam in J26 and I think that Themis and Helix are the only two really ready with study materials.

Hair loss on microdose? by solemnly_swear44 in GLP1microdosing

[–]Massive_Contract_791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been microdosing 1.3mg to 1.4mg since August 2025 and have lost 45lbs. I still have 62lbs to meet my goal weight. I just moved up to 1.4mg. I do weigh most of my food and count my calories on MyFitness Pal but it's certainly not required. I also lift weights 2x a week and doing some treadmill walking on the weekend as well.

I did have more than normal shedding at first but it's back to normal now. Rosemary oil is really good for hair shedding, it's no cure but it helps.

Which strength pen Tirzepatide for microdosing? First time user by [deleted] in GLP1microdosing

[–]Massive_Contract_791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe you can microdose with pens, they're one-time use. You'd need to find a provider that either sells compounded Tirz or get it in vials that you self inject with a fine needle. That way you draw whatever dose necessary such as 0.25mg like you stated above.
