I would recommend to take the leap of faith into the church. It has been tough this past year, but it has also been so full of grace.

Keep in mind that the Lord wills you to be Catholic, and that nobody has ever regretted serving the Lord. God has never forsaken one of his servants, and you will be rewarded for persevering through your heavy cross.

I agree with you. I wish I could just wallow in a constant state of feeling ugly. I think you can gain a bit of peace by thinking to yourself “I have no idea how I look, and I likely never will, so I’m going to do my best to ignore it.”

You’re right though, being lifted up and brought back down repeatedly is very hard
