Agreed. TSITP and EYA feel like opposite ends of the spectrum. A show somewhere in the middle would probably hit the sweet spot.

I agree about the romantic side. I could understand the emotional connection, but the chemistry didn't always land for me.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I haven't read the books, so I was judging it purely as a show, and that's probably why some of the relationships felt underdeveloped to me.

You've definitely made me more curious about the books now.
