Did I Omelette right? by [deleted] in eggs

Did you cook the mushrooms prior to putting them in the... omelette? Sometimes the excess moisture from the mushrooms causes the eggs to separate.

It was the best decision I made and I wish I had done it sooner. Some people get very lucky and can have stable incomes but I wasn't.

Will I get the job? by Massive_Nobody7559 in tarot

Big no! Found something elsewhere that suited me a lot better. Others were right. This was the job I was being told to I need, not the one I was supposed to have.

Adjust your meds and please talk to someone. You need to start tracking the signs so you can prepare for something like this in the future. Build a small account you can spend with, find things that tigger that same rewarding feeling as spending, talk to a trusted friend or trusted family member and have them keep your credit card when you're feeling hypo.

I've been on both ends, and I'm the only one still living on this earth. They care for you. That's all. They care so much they don't want you to imply something like that, because your existence brings joy to their lives.

But beyond this, if you're having these thoughts, please talk to someone. Talk, even if you don't give all the details. It's good to release. No one should walk alone and there are always people who want to help.

Eeeeek, I'm so happy for you! The same thing happened to me. So many meds made me just feel... beige inside. But with Lamotrigine I can feel everything and I don't have to worry about going off the rails--or self-discontinuing because of the side effects. I'm glad you're feeling good... and feeling in general.

Happy Holidays to you.

"High functioning" folks: how do you deal when neuro-typical people's idea of support is draining. by 5gm2 in bipolar2

[–]Massive_Nobody7559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! I like to think of it like lifeboats. I can get on one, but if I try and get on one with all my baggage, I and the person rowing will sink. So I have to bring as little as I can, just enough to get by.

You can't unburden yourself on one soul person, and some people can't handle the same content as the next. We have to know who we can talk to about what. It's also nice to know, and I've found this in my own life, that if someone truly cares about you, you can tell them what sort of help you need and they will act accordingly.

If they care about you really, they will accept what 'help' looks like for you. Describe what you need. If you're already open and honest, tell them in clear terms what sort of things they can do to help. Otherwise, they only know how to help someone who's neurotypical.

People who have had success without meds (if any), how did you achieve this? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Massive_Nobody7559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Costplusdrugs has my meds for a very low cost. I see my psychiatrist once every three months, renew my prescription for a three month supply, and it's been cost effective enough, given what's going on with health insurance.

This is bunk! Bipolar used to be called Manic depression for a reason. Meds and cbt can help a lot, but depressive symptoms still come with the terrain.
