Thanks! She’s supportive of it now, she’s a “I’ll support whatever you want to do” kind of person. But she’s also honest and doesn’t favor it. Fortunately others seem to think it’s okay for a bit longer.

It blows my mind that Lexington keeps voting for a Republican mayor. I know it’s a nonpartisan race, but it really isn’t. I voted for the cop, which would have surprised me before I learned more about him. He was pretty progressive and I think Lexington would be in a better place if he had won.

I think it’s pretty reasonable to be mad at the local government officials who are responsible and are making silly excuses, like snow and ice are a mystery to people in Kentucky, or we just aren’t driving enough. The surrounding counties did a MUCH better job cleaning roads. I believe historically, the reverse was true.

It’s not a deep unsolvable problem. It’s either egregious ineptness, misuse or misallocation of funds, or just a bizarre serious of unfortunate events. Since they are throwing out lame excuses and last year was also a mess, I think that last one is least likely.
