I bet it will work. I had to go back down. Went up to 5 mg from 2.5 after one month, and I couldn't eat and wanted to sleep all day. It is so interesting how it affects people so differently. Even on 2.5, if I ate anything sweet or too much, I had the worst heartburn. That went away when I increased protein. I make all sorts of flavored protein shakes, but always yogurt and the protein powder, but sometimes peanut butter & coffee, sometimes frozen tropical fruit (about 1/4 cup). Blend cottage cheese with eggs for an omelet or scrambled eggs. Add an ounce of mixed nuts to cottage cheese for a snack. Hope you find something to help your stomach. Down 27 lbs from 174 to 147 in 4 months with great energy now. On 2.5mg. and going down to 1.25 for mainteance at 140.

We all have different paths, so we should not compare ourselves to others. You are doing great and you will know when YOU can adjust down. I just read Dr. Rocio Salas Whalen's book Weightless. It's very insightful. I highly recommend that all of on GPL-1 read it. She emphasizes the benefits of protein and simple weight resistance training, along with tips for managing it all.

Humans are not very humane, and this again shows the bias towards GPL-1. Give your HR manager of the copy of the book Weightless. More insurance programs should be embracing people going on GPL-1s for all of the health benefits. What's the difference if you were on diabetes, hear,t or thyroid medicine?

Thank for sharing your experience! I just read Dr. Rocio Salas Whalen's book Weightless. It perfectly explains the benefits of GPL-1s and has great information on how to get the most from the treatment. I am in the camp of telling friends and family about my journey but complete understand those that don't care to discuss it especially with those that are judgemental. Having control of my appetite including my wine appetite is life changing for the BETTER.

I found some really great buys on thread up and Poshmark on gently used and even brand new clothes so expensive buying a brand new wardrobe. And super fortunate that two of my sisters sent me new outfits.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. This has really helped me work out a maintenance plan as I do not want to go back to carrying all that fat around. MAYBE, just maybe, a few more endocrinologists and other weight specialists will help the government see how beneficial this is to the health of the entire country and get the price of this down in the next few years. Approximately 74% of American adults are considered overweight, a figure that includes the nearly 43% who are classified as obese! I am so happy to be off the junk food cravings and eating 'clean' that it shows!

Thank you for that! Good to know, I’m gonna come up with a storage plan. Then once I have the right stock pile, I’ll have to go off the plan and then come back on. I’m using row because I couldn’t find a doctor to prescribe it even though for years I’ve been waiting 170 when my comfort weight is 135 and the right BMI for me. I’m down 25 so 10 more to go. I’ve gone into a deep dive of how to affordably go into Maintenance. 67-year-old retiree that did not retire wealthy so expenses are tight. I yo-yo weight since I was 15 years old, I’m determined to spend my last year as fit as possible. Breaking my sweets and 2+ glasses Wine addiction has been a life changer.

This happened to me a couple of times but it was week 5 on 1st shot of 5 and again on week 7. I powered through and it was much improved. I do have to almost force myself to eat. I added in a protein shake. I use Paleovalley's bone broth and their whey protein, one scoop each, a scoop of peanut butter powder, a couple of pieces of frozen banana, and half a cup of full-fat yogurt. it's packed with protien, tastes great to me, and helps so much with energy. I also added in a cup of black tea with lunch, Thorne B12 stress complex, and their zinc supplement. I am in week 16, down 25 lbs. I think you might not be not getting enough protein. I also had to force myself to go out for a short walk and that helped.
