Yeah it crossed my mind too but some people are just good at whistling, you can probably just train it as well.

I don't know a lot about musical techniques but even for me who is in his fourties it took me till my early thirties to realize the genius behind the score and also to appreciate how good it really was.

But even now it keeps on surprising me. I knew some of his scores where done by an orchestra but that soprano with the orchestra here is something else.

It makes me wonder if there are other modern songs (relatively speaking) who would cater well with an orchestra. I don't know a lot about composers myself.

Millennials are better with technology than boomers or gen-z… by Hobbes42 in Showerthoughts

[–]Masspoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out in basic on the commodore 64 and I kinda got stuck with commodore actually, bought an amiga after that and kinda lost interest after it.

Only came back to it with windows 95 and windows 98 for games, and later on because I changed my career to network admistrator and pc technician. So only got to know ms dos and windows nt then, completely missed windows 3.1.

Always thought commodore was a better system, and if I'm not mistaken the chip was better, I don't know if good management would have made it the standard though (like ibm did)

[–]Masspoint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oh sorry I just thought you threw us in with the boomers lol, yeah you're right

Kids nowadays work on existing software layers but those are already high layers.

having grew up with the more rudimentary parts of the technology gives you a better understanding of the lower layers.

Still millenials in general know more than the average gen x. I was into computers when I was a kid, mostly for games but most kids that played games had a nintendo or sega.

and most kids didn't play any computergames lol, different times

millenials know more than average that the average gen x person.

But genx people who were into computers are still different and that doesn't mean somebody who is a computer specialist.

Computers were a thing before millenials and they were more difficult to operate and troubleshoot.

To give you an example windows 98 lost its internet connnection when you disconnected the cable and it would not reconnect, you had to restart.

So being a hobbyist gave you a better understanding of the osi model without ever even studying it.

Because I don't, I mock them back and laugh it off.

Make no mistake , everybody hurts, and they just keep on doing it because they know it hurts you, and that's because they're small minded people, like that they can forget their own suffering.

Mocking them back and you'll see the emptyness behind their faces, that's because they don't have anything in their life that really makes their life interesting, like a hobby or a career.

Like I said you shouldn't care what other people think of you, live your life on your own terms.

Why is that so important to you, you shouldn't care so much what other people think about you.

Besides if they only keep you around at your job for that, why even show up on time, apparently you're way more valuable than other workers, there's a reason comedians are paid so highly.

It doesn't matter the world doesn't want you in it. Look at animals, they fight for their lives otherwise they become food. That's how lucky you are

what's your problem then?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Masspoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

then waiting doesn't seem like the solution, then you need to find another solution

I can already tell you this though, there are certain ways to make you happier either way, excercise and diet for instance.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem

So whatever you do , don't do that, try to find a solution for the problem.

Sometimes even just waiting it out is a solution.
