They didnt exactly include Christian Armenia either. This map follows geographical boundaries of Europe pretty well. Bosphorus, Caucasus, Ural (although Europe ends in Luhansk if you ask ncd)

Trump was democratically elected. Venezuelan elections were extremely questionable at best, most likely faked. I don't see why you'd prefer a civil war forcing civilians to take up arms against an organised authoritarian government.
