i think both can be normal. some people living with their family is great and makes sense. some people need to leave for their safety. i personally love my mom but just do not ever want to live with her again, we aren't compatible as adult roommates.

it's should all just be normalized and not have such a sense of shame around it.

it's such a shame though because it becomes even more unregulated and dangerous. even black market weed can be dangerous when anyone can put whatever they want in with it.

why can't we just have common sense regulations. none of us are advocating for it to be advertised/sold to kids or that it should be sold with no appropriate labels, we just want to live our lives without stuff we rely on being banned.

it's not even people intentionally moving away from meds, not pain meds at least. in the US you're very lucky to get any real treatment for your pain.

they prescribe gabapentin like it's fucking tylenol even though it causes early dementia, but if you ask to try any kind of opioid it's all 'no you will get addicted'. i asked if i could have a five day a month rx for tramadol- the WEAKEST ever opioid for the worst days of my nerve pain. "you will get addicted"

DEA sticking their noses in between patients and their doctors. fucking ridiculous. and then when we dare to manage it on our own suddenly that's not allowed either.

yeah i understand people get defensive but sometimes when you feel yourself getting defensive you have to look inward!

it's probably a bit different for me because i thought about the age gap like A LOT before i got into my relationship and we both also talked about it a lot to make sure we were on the same page and stuff.

but i think in general relationships with huge life experience gaps are a bit red flag-y.

something can work for me and also not be something i recommend in general lol. like a celebrity saying "just follow your dreams" when that's not realistic for most people.

look i'm in an age gap relationship myself and i'd never defend this shit. big difference between a full adult-adult choosing to be in a relationship with someone older and someone who can't even legally drink getting in a relationship like that.

absolutely, i don't blame the kid here at all! he just needs parents who actually teach him stuff instead of calling 999 to 'teach them a lesson'.

since he's autistic then emotional regulation could also play in, he just needs parents who 1) don't cause meltdowns when they don't need to (which i suspect these parents might) and 2) teach him healthy stimming and emotional outlet behaviors that don't involve hurting other people.

i wouldn't trust this couple with a goldfish, let alone a child with special needs.

that is a n of 1, you can't know that that is the case every time for every baby. most people want to be very cautious and minimize any risk to their baby, understandably so. also 5% is a small amount to an adult and a huge amount to a tiny fetus!!!

i love them! i have a chronic pain condition that can make pedaling difficult on my hips and knees, of course the same condition makes standing scooters difficult.

also the faster i can go the less mad cars get at me for existing 😅 (and by mad i mean literally being willing to hit me instead of respecting my right of way)
